Asked to do survey during check in?

I haven't seen this mentioned on the boards so thought I would share my experience.

After finishing check in at CBR on 8/19/12, we were leaving the Customs House when we were approached by a CM. She asked if she could ask us a few questions, she was carrying an Ipad and I said "sure", as I had read about people getting fastpasses for answering questions. So the CM asks us questions about our trip, and then asks if I would be willing to keep a diary of our purchases (food, snacks, merchandise). If I did and sent the completed Diary back I would get a $25 Disney gift card.

Anyone else have this experience??

Yes! Back in Sept 2010, after checking in at ASMu, someone stopped us and asked if we'd keep a diary for the week we were there. Got a $25 Disney giftcard for doing it. Still have it, in fact, as I've not been back to Disney since. Hopefully they don't expire, not going back until next year.

We did last aug at movies, completed it and yes we got the gift card can't wait to use it this month when we go back!

We're here now and I got asked this morning after coming thru the turnstiles at MK. She mostly wanted to know about food purchases. I haven't had a chance to really look at the diary she gave me, since I didn't have my reading glasses at the park. She said most folks just save their receipts and fill in the information later, which is what I'm planning on doing. She said we would be compensated but I didn't think to ask how much. We're not on the dining plan since we're staying at SOG and the diary specifically says non-dining plan.

We were asked 3 times the last time we were there for surveys with CM's w/ ipads. It was at AK, MK and Epcot. We took the time and answered but no promo anything given. I was hoping for a fastpass lol, but don't really expect anything extra.

We did receive "free" fps one time when a CM was at the Splash Mountain FP area. I was going to put our tix in and she stopped me and handed me 5 fp (for our party) and said enjoy on Mickey .
