Ask Me Anything: Ask FloridaDreamlel Anything

Hiya everyone....I am so nervous about this :scared: as everybody else whose done this before has such busy and interesting lives...I feel that I will be quite a let down...

Any way here goes....

My favourite tipple would have to be a bottle of Miller light

I have a hamster called Mia (it's the kids really) and a goldfish called...erm...I don't think it has a name :rolleyes1 and up until February I had a beautiful black cat called Purdy but unfortunately she had to be put to sleep as she was ill and was an old lady of 16ys

I'm not really into shoes (:scared1: shock, horror I know) but I have about 3 pairs I wear all the time and 10 pairs lying around in the wardrobe.

Hope I've answered my 1st set of questions OK?

Sorry I meant Miller not Miller light (getting confused with my yoghurts....do'h)

Good Evening Lesley:wave:

WHy don't you like Croc's?

What is your favourite Item of Clothes?

How did you meet your DH?

Hiya Kaylee,

Sorry somehow missed your question.....

I hope I haven't upset people by not liking crocs but I just don't find them attractive. The colours are a bit bright for me and the white ones just remind me of hospitals...sorry....my daughter likes them though...she saw some in a shop the other day and said "ooo I like those, can I have some?" To which I replied "we'll see, maybe when we get to Florida!" So maybe she might be able to persuade me to get some for me aswell as her...who knows, I'm easily persuaded!

I love to wear jeans and t-shirts and I have this fab pair of jeans that fit just right (which is unusual for me as I am quite short!)

I met Martyn my DH when we were both in amateur dramatics. We were doing 'It's a lovely war' and I was playing a dead person :sad2: (no talent then and no talent now!!) and he had to carry me on as he'd supposedly killed me, (don't ask!). From then on we were just friends in a big group of friends that use to go around together and it just developed from there.

Hi Sue,

Yes thanks I'm enjoying being quizzed, I think ;)

Nothing very adventurous really but you can't beat fish 'n' chips :thumbsup2

I don't really buy magazines regularly, unless you can count 'Professional Child Care' but that's for my job. I sometimes buy things like Best or Bella, something like that and my friend passes on OK and Now mags

I know this is odd but I don't buy a newspaper. DH sometimes gets the Daily Mail and the Sunday Mail and I read those and also the local weekly paper 'The Wakefield Express' but to be honest it's always full of doom ans gloom :sad2:

Yes I do drive and the car I have at the moment is for my job as a childminder so it has to be big. It's a Toyota Picnic (7 seater) to pack all those little monkeys in ;)

Morning Lesley

Who is your favourite singer/band?

Laur's princess:

The singer I have loved for a long time is Robbie Williams  but I thought his last album was rubbish. It really depends on who I am listening to at the time...I'm into My Chemical Romance at the mo.

I haven't been to that many but the one that sticks out from when I was a teenager was a Motorhead gig they once did in Leeds.....I was deaf for a week after....but it was wicked.......and also a couple of years ago we saw Madness at Alton Towers and they were brilliant

Fat Bottom Girls by Queen :rotfl: although I posed this question to my family and my youngest DS (7) said "I think it's that 'Pretty Woman' song......awww bless

I would have loved to see Queen

I love all musicals (have been in a few in my time) but one of my favs is Oliver.

Hello  Annmarie,

Shop assistant in Superdrug & Matalan, clerical assistant for BT, a playworker for a day nursery and my current job as a childminder.

Definately being a childminder as I am my own boss, work the hours I choose in my own home and play all day...who could ask for more?

Doya know, my 14yr old is not like ordinary boys of his age :sad2: he just likes to be on his computer or x-box. The trouble is because of the school he goes to all his friends live miles away :confused3 so if he goes to one of them he is always picked up by me or DH, around 9 o'clockish.

I do the DIS boards of course :thumbsup2 and sometimes I read or watch telly

Hello again...

I have more than 5 but the top five would probably be:
1. Cling Film on a roll because once I lose the end I'm snookered and I get really cross  If they could invent some other way of having it rather than a roll I would be pleased.
2. Dog owners that DON'T clean up their dogs doodoo....I have nothing against dogs, my Mum had a beautiful spaniel but she use to carry a pooper-scooper and nappy sacs around with her....the amount of times I've had to clean it off my kids shoes
3. Argos. I hate that you have to queue twice :confused3 why..what a daft idea.
4. 5 day working weeks...why can't we work Sat & Sun and have the rest off :)
5. Guns....big issue at the moment I know but I hate them.

I'd like to slap most celebs  but the 3 I have chosen are Tracy Emin, sorry but I really don't like her work, Jeremy Paxman because he's arrogant and John McCririck same reason

I'd love to meet Gary Oldman as I'm a big fan of his and his films, he's such a great actor, Robbie Williams (for reasons we won't go into ;) and the girls from 'Loose Women' they seem a riot

Robbie of course

Les Patterson...yuk :scared:

Hi Andrea,

Thats a toughy...but I think I would invite Gary Rhodes (cos he can cook and I can't), Peter Kay, Ant & Dec, Gary Oldman, Robbie, Freddie Mercury and Ronnie Barker because these are some of the people I admire most

It would be simple fare like minestrone soup, roast beef & Yorkshire puds, black forest gateaux and coffee 'n' mints ;)

I'm open to discussion on any topics that might come up (although if I'm sat next to Robbie I might not be listening  )

Hi Andrea,

I'd love to be a cat....you get to laze around all day, go out if you want and get fed twice a day...great :thumbsup2

SpongeBob Squarepants...does that count? :lmao:

I'm brilliant at DIY.....I've put together loads of Ikea flatpacks with a little help from DH

Not many really, I couldn't wait to leave school. I left at 16yrs and went to art college but dropped out. :sad2:
I have 3 'o' levels in Art, Maths and English. 26 yrs later I now have a certificate in First aid, health & Hygiene and introduction in childminding practice. In September, though, I am going to do my NVQ 3. :goodvibes
