In reply to tony64's query, we hope to get the November Busy Day guide up at some stage next week. We have been travelling fairly extensively (about 5 weeks' worth!) just recently, and have an enormous amount of work to catch up on. However, we are making progress (including just finishing the 2nd stage proofs for Brit's Guide 2008 ;) ) and hope to get back to other urgent matters like website up-dates in due course. Please bear with us, and we'll try not to take any more time off!

Glad to hear it Simon - looking forward to getting my copy of the 2008 guide :thumbsup2

Thanks Simon, DH is just reading DLP guide as I type! Got the WDW guide on order, they are invaluable...love the brits tips
:cool1:

LOL, natalie! Message received and understood :rotfl:

Rats. And here I was hoping we could go to Summerfest for an hour or two.

*Cleo puts her head back down and cracks on with the work, numb and bleary-eyed*

looking forward to the 2008 edition.....
so when are we going to be blessed with a Brit's guide to Tokyo Disneyland/DisneySea / Hong Kong Disneyland?

We're in the heavy duty planning stages of a trip and there is NOTHING out there. Of course HK doesn't really need much explanation - but I sure could use some help with my Tokyo plans. Perhaps that's where you've been traveling for the past 5 weeks????

We wish!! Sadly, all our recent travels were more prosaic, based on up-dates for Orlando and DLP (with side-trips to Dublin and London, and a week's holiday in the Caribbean!). However, we may well be looking at a guide to Disneyland and Southern California in the near future. I fear Tokyo and HK may have to wait a while (and they'll also need to attract more than just a handful of European visitors - I think you will be among a tiny minority, beth!).

I like the idea of a Disneyland/Southern Ca guide Simon :thumbsup2 Any chance you can get to this in the next 18 months or so please ;)

can't imagine why.....just because it's the other side of the world???? ;)

although it's much cheaper than it used to be - japan i mean...

it used to be so expensive, but i was surprised to see that even staying at the expensive tokyo disney hotels isn't that bad when compared to just about any place in London or elsewhere in Europe...
somehow europe has caught up with japan....i'm not sure when it happened, but it's a pleasant surprise.....and even the most expensive hotel at tokyo disney is cheaper than the deluxe WDW hotels...how did THAT happen????

anyway, i guess i'll have to 'settle' for the southern cal. guide....i'm sure it will be an interesting and entertaining read....

Japan being cheaper than Europe is certainly something that is hard to imagine (although I'll take your word for it, as you have obviously been doing your homework - having just revisited Europe for an extended time, I can attest to the fact that everything seems VERY expensive!).

The big issue from the guidebook point of view is that we need a certain amount of traffic in order to make it worthwhile. At the moment, with only a few thousand UK visitors a year, it just isn't viable to do a whole Brit's Guide title on Disneyland Tokyo. Our target audience for WDW is in excess of a million, while at DLP it is twice that; DL California is currently about 300,000, which may be slightly on the low side from the publisher's point of view.

Hi Simon
Any chance you can crack the whip at Cleo, we are still waiting on the Nov. busy days guide.;)

Can't really plan until we know we have your guidance O wise one.:worship:

Hi Tony. Sorry it seems we're dragging our heels on this but we're right in the middle of a HUGE pile of work that is proving difficult to shift. We hope to get clear "soon" but can't promise exactly when that might be yet. Please bear with us, and we hope normal service will be resumed soon :)
