WMKathy, have you ever had one of those days where everything goes wrong?

My day today.

A friend of mine has a Pontiac Soltstice her Dh gave her over the summer. Today was the first time I was in it 'cause usually we have kids and this is a two seater. Anyway, she gets her hair done this morning (paid a fortune), picks me up and we go have pedicures and went out for a late lunch. She is meeting he dh's co-workers & boss later this evening so she has to look great right?

As we are about to pay for our lunch, it begins to flood. We race out to put the top up and realize we do not know how to. We stand there laughing at each other looking like drown rats. But time is passing. So she has to take me back home to get my van so we can get our kids from school.

We climb in the car and sit in buckets of water (leather seats) with the top down. As we are leaving the parking lot she does not know how to turn on the wipers so we drive the 7 miles home in the rain with the top down.

I have never had so much fun!

LOL!!! Sometimes those days when everything goes wrong can make the best memories!

I've had some of those days, and those are the stories my friends and I like to talk about over and over and over (until we laugh so hard we cry!)

And there's a reason for that...like that 60 lbs. I've gained since joining the DIS. They could have at least said they were taking a photo before doing it.

Shhhh . . .if those 'Ohana pictures come out, then people around here might see the pineapples and realize that we occasionally imbibe . Plus I think the 'Ohana picture of Towncrier might not fit within DIS guidelines .

Rafiki - I think you are quite beautiful, and look so in the picture even if you are not smiling . I wish I had your nails.

As far as the margaritas, I don't know why none of us was having one . I don't think anyone in the whole group had one. Maybe it was too early in the day . Plus a lot of people had their kids with them. I typically don't drink if I'm going to drive, and I was by myself. I'd rather save the calories for dessert most of the time anyway .
