Ashford Travel Lodge

We are due to stay here for 1 night before we go on the Eurotunnel to DLRP ... I have just read some horrendous reviews and hoped that someone has stayed recently (or before) and can allay by fears a little !

Hi we stayed there for 1 night back in October 2004 and it was fine, the room was clean, the beds were comfy, we didn't have any noise and were above the car park so I was expecting some. I had prebooked early online, so it was a full price room, not one of their £29 deals.
We arrived late so called in the nearby McD's for a snack and then hit the sack, checked out early next morning, didn't bother with breakfast had it at Ashford Station instead.

Don't really know what else to say really - it served it's purpose, what do people normally expect from a Travel Lodge ?
I could tell you about the private hotel in Ashford I booked in March 2006, it made Fawlty Towers look like the Ritz

We've stayed in the travelodge for the past 4 years and it has always been fine. Rooms and bedlinen clean, bed comfortable , tea making facilities in room.You can have buffet breakfast which was ok,about £6.95 per adult children eat free. The cinema is just across the road as well as Frankie&Bennys ,pizza hut and Kfc.

Was getting a bit worried - so long as it is clean and I can sleep in the beds then I don't really mind - don't need a 5* hotel Just some where decent to sleep for a few hours !

Bizarrely had a dream about DLRP last night - and still have 2 weeks to go ! I was in the FP for Buzz Lightyear and they kept sending me to the back becuase I hadn't brushed my teeth ..... now what is all that about ?

We stayed there last Monday and it was fine; There are plenty of eateries within walking; The rooms are clean and serve their purpose_ We have stayed there several times now and only had cause to complain once which was quickly put right

I can only imagine my dreams will get more and more bizarre as the big day approaches - already my DD comes into our room in the morning and asks if I have had any "funny dreams" again !

Next time we go I think we shall actually go over on the EuroTunnel the day/night before and stay over a night in Calais or en route to DLRP .. then we can wake up when we want to and head straight for the parks .... not much travelling to do the following day and can head straight into the parks.
