Hello everyone! I've been lurking and learning for a few weeks now. We leave with my little guy who's 2 1/2, on Friday for 4 nights at the lodge. Any specific tips for the hotel? How is the general store? Any items we can have? Silk milk? How are the restaurants? One of them is really loud right? Suggestions for quiet places, thoughts on the playground, pool, etc...would be so helpful.

We've visited so many times, I feel like I'm overlooking something, since we've never stayed at the lodge before..

TIA!

I can't give a ton of tips, but I am an adult who follows a GF/CF diet, and we stayed at the WL in Feb. 2010. The lodge is very nice. In fact, we are thinking of staying again this October. However, I will say that if your son has sensitivities to sound and loud noises, I would stay away from the Whispering Canyon Cafe. It is a fun restaurant, but it is very loud! I know that they served Vans waffles there, so I imagine you could get those or something similar at Roaring Forks, the counter service restaurant there. One thing I will note about Roaring Forks is that it is very small, so it gets crowded fast. The nice thing is that you could take your food back to the room if it got too crowded. Artist Point is nice, but a bit fancy. The food is good though! The general store is pretty good though. I've seen Silk soy milk there, and it seemed readily available at Roaring Forks too. Hope that helps a bit! :thumbsup2
