Another early start although we were running a bit behind schedule, so a drive thru MacDs breakfast was required. A sausage & egg mcmuffin for DH and an egg Mcmuffin for me. However, this comes with ham/bacon - good job I 'm not a veggie!!!
We arrived at Epcot around 9:45am and it was busy already. 60 min for Soarin, 40mins for TT and 20 mins for Mission Space. We decided to head to Soarin to grab fast passes. When we got there, area was packed and there were long lines just to get a fast pass. It soon became clear that the machines had broken down. CM didn't know how long it would be down but they had called the engineers. We decided to wait for a while and after around 15 mins success.
On the way into Soarin, we noticed that Nemo & Friends was only 5 mins, so we headed over there and walked on. On the way out, we also noticed the new area for Turtle Talk with Crush and managed to get on the next show. Walking out passed the nemo show, we noticed that they had the Nemo Musical on CD and we purchased this as we both enjoy the music.
We headed over to TT & Mission Space and called into the Character Connection on the way. This was over a 30 min wait but worth it in the end however, I wish they would bring the bus back!!! Lots more characters and not as long a wait.
We were able to grab a fast pass for TT by now and headed to Mission Space. As this had gone up to 30 mins, we decided to go back to Soarin, do World Showcase, then come back for TT and Mission Space on the way out.
Soarin was good but we were on the 2nd row and you cant beat the front with no dangling legs - lol!!
We stopped off at the Rose & Crown to see if Head Honcho was there but unfortunately, he wasn't. Hope he is OK?? We then went to France and caught Beauty & the Neil (sorry Beast). The Beast was great fun and gave me a massive big beast hug. Princess Aurura and Marie were in the next room. Lots of kisses from Marie (aww I miss my cat) and we skipped Sleeping Beauty.
We stopped off in Morocco for lunch and we both had a lamb wrap with rice - it was like a donner kebab but with a nice taste. Grabbed a festival margarita from Italy mmmmmm and then the rain came. We headed over to TT to use our fastpasses and it was closed. We assume it was due to the rain but apparently they were having technical difficulties and had no idea when it would be up and running. We decided to go on Mission Space and hope TT would be running again on the way out.
Only a 10 min wait at this point and we rode the orange (most intense) side. Such an intense feeling - I can ride Hulk, Sheikra, Duelling dragons, etc with no problem but this ride makes me feel sick. Unfortunately, TT was still down and with the Pirate & Princess tonight we couldn't hang around and had to leave.
We wanted to quickly do some last minute shopping for DH to get some more Levis and I wanted a last look too (I had spotted a jacket in Puma earlier in the week and thankfully they still had some). DH got a couple to T's from Ecko and we were on our way to Magic Kingdom.
I think it is worth mentioning at this stage that the driving by other drivers on this trip has been the worse EVER. It really is every man for himself and completely ignore road signs!!!!
We got to Magic Kingdom at 6pm and the party started at 7pm. Got some character pics including the one and only JACK SPARROW. I did offer to bring home back to England and leave DH here but he was having none of it - BOOOO!!!
We sat on the wall in Frontierland for the parade and guess what - it started to rain again!!!!! It rained and rained until 5 mins before the parade started so thankfully, the parade went ahead. Last year they had 2 parades but there was only the 1 tonight.
After the parade, we rode BTMR which was walk on and then headed towards Fantasyland. Small world was 5 mins so we jumped on before heading to main street for the fireworks.
The fireworks were AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! enough said!!!
DH wasn't feeling to well and we decided to call it a night after buying my pic with Jack.
We are back in the room and have just checked in online at Virgins website - looks like a busy plane tomorrow. DH is finishing the packing whilst I finish the report and then we are heading off to bed.
Tomorrow - The Airport / Home - BOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
