The alarm went off at 6:30 and we pressed snooze several times - lol!!!!!
We finally dragged ourselves out of bed and were on our way to the Magic Kingdom at around 8:20 for our Keys to the Kingdom Tour at 9:30.
We checked in for the tour next to City Hall, got our tour badges and were offered water or coffee. We grabbed a couple of bottles of water as the sun was shining and it was getting hot. Next we had to choose our lunch and we both went for chicken strips and fries.
There were around 15 of us on the tour and we started out on main street. I am not going to go into much detail because it does have spoilers and can completely understand why under 16's are not allowed on the tour. We got to ride Jungle Cruise, Pirates and Haunted Mansion through the exit whilst on the tour. Our tour guide 'Clay' was good although he didn't like answering questions to do with money!!!!!
The off stage (behind the scenes) areas are worth seeing and would recommend the tour to anyone who has been to Disney several times. It is definitely not for first timers.
The tour finished around 14:20 and we were able to grab some curb space on Main St for the parade.
After the parade, we headed into Tomorrowland and grabbed some fast passes for Buzz and went into the Laughter Club. It was fairly busy day, rides like Space/Thunder Mountain had 50 mins wait, Buzz 20 mins, Winnie the Pooh/Snow White 30 mins and Stitch 5 mins!!!!
We rode Buzz and then headed into Toon Town to see which characters were out in the tent. It was the Princesses in one room and Donald and Pluto in the other. With a 45 min wait for the Princesses and 15 mins for Donald, you can guess which line we chose!! However, a family that chose the Princesses at the same time as us, went in before us!!??!!
When it was finally our turn, we walked in and along with Donald and Pluto was Daisy and Goofy - hooray!!!! Donald was dancing around as he was at the end waiting for us. Kisses all round, we headed out to see Mickey but his line was HUGE!!!!
We went to watch one of my favourite shows again 'Philharmagic' and then grabbed an ice cream and went to stake our spot for Spectromagic. By this time it was 6:10 and had started to rain. All the spots on Main St had gone but we managed to grab wet curb round Town Square. It rained and rained, then with 5 mins to go it stopped. Spectro was great as always and afterwards, we did a bit of shopping to warm up and headed back to town Square to watch Wishes.
Wishes was amazing as always and as soon as it finished we made a quick exit. We managed to get on the first monorail and tram and it only took just over 10 mins to get back to the car. Think that is a record for us after a Wishes show.
We tried to find a restaurant on Palm Parkway on the way back but when I said to try this way, DH didn't agree and carried on - turned out this was the wrong way. Did we find it - NO!!!!! If only men would listen to us women!!!!We gave up and stopped at the garage for some gas. We were going to grab a sandwich but decided to go to Ponderosa instead.
Tomorrow - Lie in, Universal/IOA and Illuminations.
