do you find yourself going to Disney less ?

I have, but still love the place

Nope. In fact, I'm going more. DD18 loves it! And when she has a family of her own, I'll take the whole gang!

No, more so actually. It's much better to go with your wife or husband without the kids.

definitely more!! We are headed out tonight....just me and DH.

More, now that the ds are in college dh and I cash in his frequent flier miles and go twice a year.

As the "kid", our trips have become almost every year as opposed to when I was younger and they were as much as 4 years apart.

About the same here...about every 2 years or so. But, I can see that changing and becoming less, not because of the kids getting older, but our expenses continuing to be greater than our income. :sad2:

Not really. It would be if we weren't stuck with DVC. My husband and I (no kids at home anymore) prefer more exciting vacations now.

Yes . OUr kids are getting older but not yet grown. I was told by a friend with kids that are older than mine, there comes a point when the kids schedules get too busy to go to WDW. I didn't understand, now I do. Our kids have too many things going on with sports activities to go to WDW like we did.

The kids don't miss it, they were tired of WDW, but I do. Thank goodness DD cheer team will be going for competition. That maybe the only way I get there anytime soon.

Yep. So many other places to see. (My DD13 still likes it, but the older two don't).

I can't wait to have grandkids someday (long time!) to go back with -- my husband isn't a disney nut and wouldn't go without the kdis.

We've gone as much, but maybe not more. DD (17) hasn't been into WDW for a long time now. She likes to go if she has a friend and would go with MareDVC in a heartbeat, lol. Otherwise, she's not very interested.

DH and I enjoy going together. We went last August for a long weekend and then again in Feb. for my b-day/Valentine's weekend. It's a fun, easy trip where we can go and relax, know where we want to go and where to eat without trying to figure all that out. The days of going and filling every day with a plan are long gone for us.:)

That said, DH is in the Keys this weekend doing a bike trip from Largo to Key West. I see a trip there really soon. The pics he keeps sending me are making me want to there very badly! lol

I could never afford to take my kids to Disney when they were all younger - my first visit was my honeymoon in '09, and we did a one-day trip last year.
This September will be the first real vacation I have ever taken with my kids :goodvibes
Even though it will only be 3 of them, I am going to be one happy Mom!
So we are definitely going more now that they are all older

YES, and my dd is 12 1/2, but we used to go 4x a year when she was younger. We are within driving distance but the cost has become a factor over the past few years too. She still loves it though and so do I.

We've only gone 2x a year in the past few years if that. As a matter a fact this will be the first year she's missed the Flower & Garden show since she's been 3! (not spoiled huh? :goodvibes) Kind of bummed about that but we went in Feb. which was an unusual time to go (but a great time to go!!) and it's just too soon to go back.

We'll head up there again in August but won't be going to Dis parks because she can't handle the heat (and we live in South FL :confused3 LOL!) yet she wants to go to Seaworld because we haven't been there in 5 yrs. They have spritzers in the park so that'll make it easier (yeah ok :lmao: IT'S AUGUST!) We plan to stay in a DTD which will be a first for her as even on our NON Dis park trips we've stayed at SSR, but I just can't justify the price diff. anymore.

Anyway, it's funny because I was just thinking about how we don't go as much anymore. I've had a TIW/DDE card for years and this is the first time we'll be ditching it as well as our APs which we let expire. :(

mainly because I won't take my DD15 out of school to go so we have to pick and choose non-busy times to go.

My kids are grown, but my dd and I go to Disney World more now than we ever did when they young.

...maybe I would if we would stop having more kids... LOL
