As you are all talking about ESTA!!!

As we aren't going until next year, I have kind of buried my head in the sand about this whole ESTA thing!! But seeing as it appears to be a 'hot topic' at the moment - I thought I'd ask.......

What is it??? I thought it was something you filled in on line, that did away with the form filling on the plane?? (But I see below someone was still filing in the waivers on the plane, so now I'm confused!! - easy done I know!!)

It is eventually an online system to replace the green forms on the plane but just now until they say so we have to do both. I only did ours a few week back, very easy.

Agree with Wayne. Very straightforward - took only a few minutes to do ours.

Hi it is really easy and you get confirmation straight away which is good,please be very wary of sites that charge,as its FREE to do.

Hopefully by the time I go they will have done away with the green forms - although that does normally fill an hour of my plane flight by the time I FINALLY complete them in correctly!!

Yes DH managed to actually fill them in correctly first time on the last trip! I was amazed when we didn't get told to go to the back of the line! I for one will NOT miss the forms on the plane!

They recommend at least 72 hours before you travel in case of any problems and it is valid for 2 years - so anytime between 2 years and 72 hours.
