Pas Sorry about the loss of your father in law, and the job troubles for you and your Dh. My dh's job was turned upside down about 8 months ago. This is what happens when the company you work for files for bankruptcy. Thankfully he won't be laid off, but will most likely have to commute from LA. I know the uncertainy of everything can be stressful. I would keep your wdw trips if it at all possible. Vacations are very therapeutic. I hope everything works out well.

Jenny No it's not at all frivolous. This is a place where people come to escape the real world. At least that's the case for me.

Jeanette I wish there was something I could say to make all the hurt and pain go away for you. I feel so bad for your DH and his not being notified of his Fathers passing. Why some people have to be so cruel is beyond all reason. It is just plain hateful. My heart goes out to your DH and I pray he can find some closure and comfort.

Lily update Our princess needs a repeat blood test, but things are looking good! Hematologist is not concerned it is anything too serious!

Exactly, I am very glad he has a job, and thankful I have a new job as well. Our hospital is in transition as well, getting taken over this month...so maybe this is all a good thing.

And like you, this is most definitely my happy place

Well anywho... It looks like my dh will still be working in Phoenix until at least January so his 2 week vacation in Oct is still intact. Of course we'll be going to WDW.....is there any place else to go? I am going to upgrade Ap's, and we do have a cruise booked next year. The bad part with his job I have no idea when his vacations will be next year..... So everything is subject to multiple changes. I'ts going to be another wacky year, but somehow, someway will get to wdw at least three times. I'ts all good I like changing things as you know, and I love spur of the moment unplanned trips.

I have changed my October trip about 10 times in the last week. At one point I was booked at SSR. What the heck? Availabilty is horrible for my dates. I am currently WL Cl and BC. I'm good with BC, and I have very low expectations for WL Cl. I will never again say I am done. I have eaten my words too many times.

We fly back home tomorrow morning, and then it's all about the wedding on Friday, so obviously time is going to fly by...I just don't want the time to fly once I get there...but I know it will...

I will just try to savor this time leading up to our trip...I just can't wait until Disney day!!!

I'm glad you all enjoy my many many changes. I'm not sure I do. I'm already missing my BW Christmas trip. I wish I lived closer to wdw, and I could make those 3 or 4 day trips.

There were some scheduling issues, and I have to put my family first. So I gave my 2 weeks notice...they are not even sorry to see me go...it is what is...at least I have something else to fall back on...everything for a reason, right

Thanks Janet. He has never been in danger of losing his job, but the whole working in another city is going to be an adjustment. Of course there is still hope that it will only be temporary. So much going on and changing daily. It's a soap opera for sure, but we'll make the best of it. If military family's can make it work I'm sure we can too. I think our family vacations to WDW will be even more important.

I am so hopeful this will work out nicely for you all! Just when you think you've got life figured out, here comes the occasional curve ball. What can ya do, but just roll with it.
Hubster and I are settled for the time being, and I hope it's for a good while. I actually recycled the boxes. That has to help!




On a lighter subject, I wanted to share a little bit of happy news:

DD decided on, ordered, and now received her violet wedding dress. I am so proud I managed to keep my mouth shut (with questions, concerns) and just be happy with her, because she sent me a photo and it's beautiful! She is absolutely thrilled with her dress, and that's what all brides should be.
And yet again, I've been reminded of this--Sometimes smiling, breathing and listening is far wiser than offering my (likely unhelpful) opinion.

Trying not to freak out...I guess I just wasn't 100% with the new position yet, and my hand was forced..I am hopeful all will work out...my comfort level will get there, I need to be patient (which I am so bad at)

Padawans, moving? Did you expect it? I completely agree with the importance of WDW vacations. Now that my girls are on their own our family time at WDW is so precious. They are always happy to get on a plane and meet us there!
