pas, just read your mini TR, sounds like you and the fam had a fantastic trip!! Aren't the Loews hotels wonderful?! And the Unlimited Express Pass is awesome, love, love, love it! Not to mention being able to walk up to almost any restaurant - not needing to book b'fast, lunch and dinner months in advance is...well, wonderful and a little disconcerting after so many years at the World.

Sorry you couldn't get CL at RPR. We've tried all three US hotels now, and HRH is our favorite. PBH had the most beautiful decor, but the vibe at HRH is more us - the pool rocks!

I hope you are all well and are recovering from the drive home.

Thanks for stopping by They are wonderful! The kiddos loved the HRH pool! My DH even had my MIL...this is better than Disney...but now that I am back on the Dis...I am getting my WDW love back...what's even better is when I do getback...all the new Fantasyland stuff...AND we will be at RPC for HRH's 8th birthday!

Welcome back!! I'm glad you had a great trip. I agree with on the Universal resorts. One of these years I'm going to stay a week at HRH, and buy a city pass. The last time I priced it out it was 1200 for my family. Compared to Disney prices thats a real bargain. Congrats on new job and GF for September. My youngest turns 8 the end of September also.

Pas, great TR! Sounds like a great vacation until you girls got sick Glad to hear you are finally feeling better! Now then, no more talk of giving up your RC crown. No rule that resort changing has to be at WDW...I think anything in the area counts! So excited that you and HRH got the RPC for your trip in September I presume she knows all about the trip now? AND GOOD LUCK, with the phone interview! I think that sounds like a great job for you. Keep us posted.

Sarah we were posting at the same time! HRH does know about the trip, and is happy happy....can't wait to tell her I got RPC...and it's the same price as rack rate Lagoon view...yes I am justifying the upgrade....plus I am hoping a special friend can extend a day to have some birthday scones with us . I will definitely let you know about the new gig! I'll probably stay in the ER too but just less hours there....not keeping all the eggs in one basket!

Good morning everyone! Just got back from breakfast out with my DH, a nice way to start the day!

Grumpy Grandma, so happy to hear that your DH's cancer procedure went well. It's a horrible disease but we have come so far. I wasn't aware your DGS was doing the CP at Disney. Fingers crossed that he gets an extension. AND I must say you are a wonderful Grandma to commit to making the sacrifice of going to WDW to see him , the hardships we endure

Chimo2u, interesting about your BFF and no tipping. Everyone does things differently.

Magic, I was also sorry to hear about your DH's problems with SC. I dont' know too much about SC, what is MOHS? The new chemo I am on means absolutely no sun for me. Sometimes we forget how much sun we get in our daily lives, forget sitting in the sun at the pool or beach.

Minnie & Nana, hope you are having fun in St. Pete! Sorry about the rain, but if it helps keep the temps down, that's a good thing!

Well, maybe the new room decor will make it seem bigger for you! You've still got plenty of time to change, but I will certainly be able to report back to you in a few weeks!

My goodness, I have been so out of the loop. Linda, such a relief for you to know your DH is okay...please do keep us posted, but of course we will think positive thoughts and expect all will be well!

How wonderful you had a nice long telephone visit with your grandson! Somehow I managed to miss he is in the CP at WDW! Sending lots of dust for the extension.

Why not add a night at AOA? The LM rooms open Sept 15th!! Best way to get a first hand look see - then you can tell us!!

RCers!! A quick hello from St. Pete, FL! Lots of rain here this week, but so far we haven't melted from the rain...and it has been keeping temps reasonable in the high 80's and low 90's. Haven't really gotten a good sense of a particular area, but will likely need one more trip.

Christine you are bad .... as soon as I read this I jumped on the WDW website and yes a LM room at AoA is available! Didn't book it but the thought is there in my head. I just checked the BB calendar that was in my room on my last trip and BB was available for the dates I need so I'm hoping some sort of discount will come up for those dates!

So, I have a funny story....I obviously drive DH crazy with all of my planning, and spreadsheets, etc...

Well, jump to last night, when the girls were upstairs watching their nightly movie (which really usually means running around the room like crazy woman and jumping off the bed, causing us to have to go upstairs repeatedly to tell them to be quiet... )

Anyway, last night they were super quiet. DH and I definitely thought they were up to something. DD8 came downstairs at one point and asked what park we were going to first when we arrive.... answer: MK...always MK

Later, when we were tucking them into bed...DD8 produced an "itinerary" of what they'd like to do, ride by ride...(Great Goofini has unseated Dumbo as the obligatory first ride BTW)....treats they want to eat, etc... I was soooooo impressed with my babies!!! My DH was horrified!!!
