I'm sure you rocked it!! I've been doing the elliptical 2 x a week and I have Zumba once a week, so I'm hoping to drop a few more pounds before our trip. I've gotten to the point with my body where "it is what it is". I'll do my best to take care of it, but I've got to work with what I've got.:headache:

Ha! No kidding, things are not quite the same after kids are they? But I am of the mind set that this body did some pretty hard work and we have to be proud of that! Good for you with the exercise regime, have to say I could do more in that department...:sad2: BUT, come September, when my youngest goes to JK, I will have some more time to devote to me.

I can really see DD7 changing...daily! She is so open, honest, loving, creative and confident! She used to be a shy one, but lately has blossomed and is so sure of herself. I am soooo happy about that, confident girls are so important. On a side note, and I know I can ask you as your DD is the same age, have you noticed any body odor yet? Shockingly we have just noticed it lately! Too early!!! I need to seek out a natural deoderant for her, no way I am using a harsh adult one on my baby!:)

We haven't gotten like the armpit odor or anything like that, but her breath (in the morning) and feet are AWFUL!!! It's terrible, but DH and I refer to her as "dragon breath" (not to her face of course),but WOW!!! It's pretty bad.

Maybe you could try Teen Spirit??? Do they still make that??

LOL! Just the name makes me laugh! I looked on the shelves for something mild / natural but didn't see anything without aluminum in it. I was thinking Tom's of Maine or something along those lines. I will look at the local health store. Yeah we have the stinky feet too and not so nice morning breath! (But who does have flowery breath in the morning? :rotfl:)

WOW this is a busy board....

ENjoying all the chat.... laughed at the concept of trying to make others happy.... I am doing that with this decision (and the other decisions I made for other trips) but my daughter doesn't care... I know what I am doing (or so she thinks!)....

Still thinking going to do CSR for 5n/3n BC... Mousemommy, I am from RI so the beach theme doesn't appeal to me but the location does and SAB :)

Now my next dilema is HOW long ---thinking about adding nights....

Rhode Island!!! Hello Fellow New Englander!!!! SAB is wonderful, but we are not huge pool people. I mean, we use them when it is hot...and we will in July
However, I will be shocked if my DDs attempt a pool slide...the WL one looks pretty tame, maybe a good starter, and then we'll leave BC for another time...when they are actually swimmers. :)

Candace congrats!! That is so awesome. I'm very happy for you.

Tomorrow I am taking the kids to the city to the Titanic exhibit at the Seaport Museum. We are going with my aunt and cousin. After the museum we're going to the new Earl of Sandwich for lunch. I think it's appropriate, as tomorrow is our double digit dance!

:rotfl: While I admit to enjoy a deluxe stay - our first trip in 1981 we stayed CR, then 6 mos later the Polynesian...we then tried CR Tower & another GV stay, but back then it was only CR, Poly, the Golf Resort (now Shades of Green) and FW. When CBR opened we decided to try it because we wanted a change...it was an adjustment the first 48 hours, but we went back 4 more times! Then we tried BC, Dolphin...back to Poly and so on...in 2004 we had a few FQ stays and 2 at POR...also in 2004 my friend and I took a last minute long weekend and stayed at then then brand new POP. We've stayed at all but AS (never will), OKW and a couple of Villas (BCV & AKV), but have stayed in the resorts. Oh, and VWL, not the Lodge. LOVED VWL way more than I ever expected!!

Have you considered renting DVC points? You can pay less than the cost of a moderate for a deluxe sometimes...generally never more than a moderate. The Villa studios have one queen bed and one pull out couch, a small kitchenette and if rented with points, no regular housekeeping. It is a different system. BUT not all the DCV rental companies are equal - I know a great one who does not charge to check availability. I digress!

While a deluxe is wonderful, I know lots of DISers who prefer a moderate and some prefer POP. Just a matter of where you feel most at "home".

Sorry to go on!!! :goodvibes

Wow, that's a LOT of trips!!

No I haven't. I will look into it, thanks for the info! This year however I will have a CM discount which is plenty already, but perhaps renting points will be useful for the future. However, does that restrict our bookings to the DVC villas? I wouldn't really need or want a studio room with no Mousekeeping.

Good morning RC family!

I haven't been on the thread much. 10 nights at the GF, then a busy first week home have keep me from my usual time on the DIS. I have been reading :surfweb:, but at this point I am too far behind to comment on everything that has been posted. I apologize.

First off I wanted to post a picture I took just for this thread!

I know a lot of people are coming up to trips soon. LuvLuvLuv and pas I know are going in May. :cool1: Anyone else?

We had such a wonderful time at WDW. The weather was so, so. About half the afternoons were very cloudy and we had some rain at night. However, it was never hot, so that was great. The sky in the picture below was fairly typical of many afternoons.

We did all the parks, except AK. I get tired walking a lot, so that park is a lot of effort for me. Fantasyland is under construction, big time, but the fact that they opened the new Dumbo, The Barnstormer and Fantasyland train station give you an idea of how exciting the new area is going to be. You can see the new Dumbo ride has the Dumbo's landing in water!

We said goodbye to Snow White. Apparently the ride is closing at the end of May. The picture is a bit blurry, but Dopey said goodbye...

Anyone going during the F&G show has to make sure they see the AMAZING sand sculpture! It is on the entrance to the International Gateway, closest to Canada. The sculpture is for the movie Chimpanzee.

I wrote a review of our stay at the GF on the GF thread. We loved it, however the construction is an issue. If you are interested, here's the link.

Hope everyone is doing well! :rainbow:

Are you switching?
A CRO call may have me calling you neighbor. :rolleyes1 ... HAPPY DOUBLE DIGIT DANCE DAY Enjoy Earl of Sandwich.

Air fares are outrageous and I am so bummed I will likely lose my $182 on SW.:sad1: Hope you get one of those Tuesday deals! Thanks about my countdown...but BLT might have fallen through. The owner has not contacted me since we spoke on Wed. Maybe she changed her mind. :( If so, then we're just not meant to stay there and I will begin the search again! ::yes::
Wow... sad news to read here on the RC. :faint: Happy hunting for a new Resort!

I might book POR instead of POFQ just to try it once, I love the theming at POR also as I am a U.S. history enthusiast and I am very interested in the whole Southern/plantation style theme. The only thing is that I'd be very disappointed if I didn't get a lodge near the main building/South depot. I ventured over there often from POFQ to eat at the food court (which was definitely superior to POFQ's offerings, especially the pasta bar!) and I have seen for myself the size of that place. The small size of POFQ was one of my favorite things about the resort. It was especially irritating after a long park day when the buses went to all 4 POR depots before stopping at POFQ! Sometimes it would be POFQ first, sometimes not. I could not figure out the pattern for the stops much as I tried :confused3
I agree that POR really is a big resort. :scared1: We've been fortunate to have great locations at POR. I find that requesting two buildings gets us good results rather than being too specific. Please do put in a room request with CRO for 2 Building numbers in the location you'd prefer, whether it be Alligator Bayou or at the Mansions.

In that case, I hope I won't be sad about POFQ next year if our Deluxe stay is "too" perfect
I think you will be ok. Sometimes I prefer a Mod, sometimes a Value, and lots of times a Deluxe... I still love them all. :dance3:

Maybe you could try Teen Spirit???
Does it Smell like Teen Spirit??? Sorry I had to... one of my favorite songs. .....Good for you rocking your new bathing suit!!! :cool1:

I am from RI so the beach theme doesn't appeal to me but the location does and SAB :)
I absolutely love RI. Sooooo pretty. :lovestruc My DH is the same with Poly, the tropical “thing” here in FL where we live wears on him. ;)

Good morning RC family!
Welcome back JC! Thank you for the beautiful pics. I am so glad you had a great trip.

That's exactly what I did  It said save up to 40%, so I took 40% off my current farelock price...voila. It's only HRH and I, so I took a chance...first morning flights though :confused3 It's OK I saved almost $200. I went on United and changed our seats....all good :thumbsup2 Nonstop flights at least! :woohoo: So by lunchtime we will be at WDW :cool1:

Keep us posted on BLT, maybe you'll have to change to BWV or BCV...:goodvibes

YEAH! for the great pricing on your flights, PAS :goodvibes my BFF booked her flights yesterday, she found one that arrives EXACTLY when we do :cool1: 1:09 pm on Sept 28.... So we will be able to get on the ME together and get to checkin at the POLY hopefully before 3 pm! I am so glad you'll be there, even if it Is a quickie trip, the same time as I am! And YEAH! for Sept 30th MNSSHP! we DEFINITELY have to figure out a time to meet! :goodvibes

ETA: My BFF's return time on Oct 7 is pretty awful....I had to book her a town car pickup for 4:30 am as she flies out at 6:45 am! Luckily the boy's and my town car pickup is at a more reasonable 11:30am, as we fly home at 2pm! :p

Thank you for the advice, I will definitely do that if I end up booking POR! :goodvibes
Did you stay at both Alligator Bayou and the Mansions? If so, which did you like more and why?

We prefer AB. The room interiors have so much character. It just feels so comfortable there. We stay more deluxes, but POR is just HOME to us, and we try to get there once a year for the weekend. Mansions facades are so pretty. But the last redesign made Mansions a non-no for us. Upon our last checkout, it is the ONLY room my DH ever said, “can we not stay there ever again?” :rotfl2: Room interiors look like a bad Best Western. Absolutely no redeeming quality or Disney character to the Mansion rooms now. Previously there were big magnolias on the wallpaper border and it gave a feel of old south in the room. :rotfl2:

Jungle Cruiser,Thanks for posting those photos! The sand sculptures were amazing! :cool1:

Hi RCers,It hit me today, that, oh my goodness, I'm going to Orlando soon. I leave two weeks from today! I can hardly wait! This is the first time in some years I've had the opportunity to spend Mother's day with one of my (now grown up) kids. Our family is spread out, thank heaven for texting and cell phones. :cool1: And, of course, we visit when we can. :goodvibes

We'll spend a few days together, and I'm looking forward to hearing more about wedding plans. She's asked me to come with her to her cake tasting. That will be a very yummy way to spend part of an afternoon. :cloud9:

Then, the last several days I'm there we'll be at WDW. I've not said a word about the reservation change to The Wilderness Lodge, yet. It will be such fun when I do. :yay:

I've pulled out my suitcase, and started my, "don't forget" list! :dance3:

Oh no! You mean the new rooms with the blue comforters rather than the pink/red flowery ones? I was actually leaning more for the mansions just because 1) the exterior is so much more grand, and 2) I've read that the rooms in the mansions are overall more "upscale" and less "basic" than AB.

JC thanks for shareing your wonderful pictures. When we were there in early March they were still working on the sand sculpture. Loved seeing how it turned out. :thumbsup2

Success!!! :thumbsup2 Just returned from a walk from Marina del Rey to Santa Monica pier .... splashing in the water all the way. Now it's time to sit on the deck, relax, read a little and have my diet pepsi!
:lovestruc

SO JEALOUS!!!!
Me too!

I got a new bathing suit today for our trip!!!!

This may not seem like a big deal, however, I have still been wearing my maternity bathing suit over the past 5-6 summers!!!

And, I had tried it on last week and LOVED it (it's one of those miracle suits). It sucks you in at all the right places
I also looked at the miracle suit...plus a $10 coupon and free shipping....I put on 12 lbs since Ihave has these medical issues...and I am not comfortable in my body lately....so I may splurge on the suit Yay for rocking a nonmaternity suit !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes this is very important! I swam publicly at the poly pool last year and like to think I rocked it... ! You have to feel good in your suit, and you at worth it!
That's sweet of you! I am sure you rocked it!!! And candace will too!!!

I would be so scared to take a chance - would not mind the early morning flight, it's that last one of the day going and first one of the day returning. You lucked out bit time!!

BWV and BCV sell out for my dates right away - owners books early December - it is super popular time...so we shall see where we land!

BLT would not have even been on my top 3, not fond of it either...but DVC is so difficult to get early December and cost wise, renting points is less than a mod!!

It will all work out...I just hate to disappoint Rosie.
It WILL all work out  HRH asked it we go for her birthday, can we do 1 night Poly/2 nights GF :faint: Fingers crossed for a BB :)
Yes, I DEFINITELY am a HUGE fan of the decor at GF. I just love the Victorian feel, the simplistic beauty, all the white-ness of the buildings. So lovely! I really do think that I will have to put it off though, unfortunately. Good thing I found out about the construction or I might've booked it and then become disappointed once I arrived at the construction! And yes I was worried that Poly would be slightly affected by the monorail... are the monorail closures only between GF and MK, or does it affect the entire monorail line?

I don't swim, but I will go in the pool to relax. It is an amazing place to chill out in the heat, as I discovered last time. The water is cold but it doesn't feel that way with the blazing sun, it feels absolutely perfect in there even if I'm not moving around (which usually makes me cold)

Thanks for your input on BWI being more like GF, I will take that into consideration! I do like the theming of the pool at BWI being like a circus/amusement park style. The pool at BC/YC sounds amazing with the sand bottom and the slide, but I might not be brave enough to go on the slide although I know the depth of water at the end is no taller than I am (so I won't drown at least) I went on the POFQ slide only once, and I had to have my mom at the bottom so I could grab her hand before I submerged even though the water was only 4 ft and I am 5+ ft
I am not a strong swimmer, had a near drowing off a slide & at a beach when I was 6...so I don't do slides either... The monorail partial closures affects ALL the monorail resorts...And IMO any of the Epcot resorts will make you happy...JMHO :lovestruc

Jill
Oh extra nights ::yes:: CSR & BC...pools excellent at both from what I have read :cool1:

as tomorrow is our double digit dance!
In celebration of double digits..a HRH sticker :crowded:

No apologies necessary my friend  Thank you for the wonderful pictures...:worship: My DD4 asked DH why we have to keep going to Disney, she likes the beach...and HRH said "Mommy needs to go to Disney..and we are staying at the Disney Beach Club" :hyper: padawans and gwynne are going soon too :dance3:

How exciting!!!!! :yay: I'm one of those last minute packers....my DH suggested I start packing...I nearly fell off the couch :rotfl:

sheila I am hoping some remnants from F&G will be around...not counting on it...but we love our flowers...

Magic I like your style! :thumbsup2

pas Thank HRH for me!

JC love the photos! I can't wait to be there. 98 days. I'm going nuts with anticipation! :hyper:

Yesterday was SO much fun. We took the ferry over and walked to the museum. The exhibit wasn't great, but after that we walked up to the Earl of Sandwich. It was SO nice inside. We sat there talking for close to 2 hours. Then we were walking to a Sephora and stopped in a TJ Maxx. We spent the whole day in the city. It was great to enjoy some fresh air with the kids walking around the city.

Oh yeah...and I saw the biggest cockroach EVER! I went into a Wendy's with the kids because my aunt and cousin were still in the exhibit and it was a little chilly in the shade. We got a drink and were sitting there when we noticed a huge commotion. I turned around and saw it. It had to be at least 5 inches. It was GROSS. :crazy2:

Think I am getting confused...or this brain is old then I though ;). What happened to AOA LM room? Or is that a different trip?

:goodvibes

Love the sticker! Thank You HRH! :cloud9:

Love the sticker! Thank You HRH!

I was size 4....when I was 4 :rotfl2: Nope the Poly/GF request is for the LM Sept trip...the one I haven't told her about :goodvibes the girl has a gift I tell you...the only way I will change is with a discount...I was looking at pics, she likes the resort, but said the LM rooms "Are not really Ariel rooms, and the Polynesian is nicer" she is too much :rotfl:
