Janet asked me to let our RC family know that her mom's surgery went very well and the cancer had not spead! She is in recovery right now.

Janet so appreciates everyone's thoughts and prayer...I am very relieved and happy for my dear friend.

Hi guys!!! Just wanted to do a BIG multi-quote to let all RCers know I am thinking of you and enjoying your ch-ch-ch-changes. And as always, hello to anyone I've missed, including hstrickland who has been away for a while. I haven't made any real changes to my existing ressies lately, although I almost had one today... guess I'll have to keep myself posted because even I don't know what is going on. I did print out my ressies for 2012 and put them in a 3-ring binder to save my sanity. Because I do so many little trips, it can get confusing. And good thing I did because I had 2 separate ressies for August for the same dates. That would have been a expensive mistake.

I was pricing out Dec 2 - 7 this am. My main concern about going in Dec is the weather and flight delays. Back to the drawing board and check out the 6 - 11.

So what did you come up with? I've forgotten if DH is on board or is this a solo trip? Our paths may cross either date.

Thank heaven I have this thread to talk about our change to WL. I haven't told anyone in my family...think I'll surprise them the night before. Meanwhile, I can't help but smile! We're on the countdown!

How exciting for you. And how cool that you can surprise your family... with the help of RCers. Artist Point dessert sounds relaxing, tasty and fun!

..I am truly in LOVE with the idea of the Wilderness Lodge, and believe it will be amazing!!!! ...Oh well, we are trying Ohana for dinner for the 1st time, so I am excited about that, and on my birthday to boot!!!

Yes...DH has again mentioned May 2013, and now we will have our new ride...oh yeah!!! Maybe we will save some $$$ and drive down!! Where to stay though...POR? AOA? Back at Poly?? Oh the possibilities! Now I just need to figure out if we buy AP's in Sept or in May and go back Dec 2013 too? I think that might make more sense. BUT...if we got AP's in Sept maybe we could sneak in a short trip this X-mas...

Maybe if you get your APs in Sept...I like the balanced feel of trying to squeeze in Sept, Dec, May and August.

Our APs are intended to cover our recent trip and our week-long trip in February 2013. I won't admit how much planning I've done for my imaginary trips in between! (But I will say that one currently involves Poly, CR and YC.)

So much fun but soooo time consuming... those dastardly APs.

I am going to Rochester as my Mom has surgery tomorrow ... meant to post yesterday, but time got away from me. She is having a masectomy but the good news is that is is stage one, so we are all staying very positive. Say prayers for her .... she is a strong lady and will get thru this I know. I will be staying until Sunday, but I will MOST definitely find WiFI so I can get on the DIS so I can be connected with you all.

I was watching the clock tick tock too slowly this morning. Thanks for the update. Hugs to you. You all are in my prayers.

I read the 1st page and LOVE IT!!! I am exhausted at all these resort possibilities.... So why not open it to others as indecisive as me? OK-- so her and I are going in August- 8 nights most likely. Any and all input welcome

WL is tried and true for you, but I vote for Split Stay: CSR, POFQ, or POR and then Beach Club for 3 days... because like you said DHS and Epcot being so close will be nice. And Stormalong Bay. POR (POFQ too) is a great mod that we utilize often and simply love.

Sorry if I missed anything else important. I'm terrible if I'm going on memory and not a multi-quote.

I definitely need to take notes with this group.

.....my friends prognosis is not looking good, but I was here for her as much as I could possibly be.

Two weeks ago I found out a friend had a type of fast growing lung cancer which had spread to her liver, bones and brain. She passed early Sunday morning....she was one of those people who made everyone feel special and is missed so very much.

Disney really is an all encompassing beast. The time before my trip will fly by, especially since I'll be spending a lot of the summer down the shore. We're heading down for Memorial Day weekend and almost 2 weeks for the 4th of July.

That sounds soooo nice. Maybe you are staying by my childhood home sweet home? Please wave if you pass Exit 82.

Today is also Administrative Professionals day. So far I've got flowers, 2 plants, 4 cards, and a box of chocolate covered caramels.

So RCers, do non-Disney RCs count here? If so, it's an RC day! I'm headed in KOOK's direction this weekend, as my parents are moving out of the D.C. area and I'm going out to help them and say goodbye to my childhood home. Once they are all packed up, we're staying in a hotel for last night. Just found an amazing weekend rate at Ritz Carlton Pentagon City, cancelled our old reservation and booked it! Yay!

Editing to add that the night at the Ritz Carlton is WAY less than I paid for POFQ during Easter week!

Thank you all for the warm welcome... I tried having my dd make a decision and she handed it back to me... just wants to go. doesn't matter where we stay.... Now if AP rates would be released I could get a better obsession going... I have a "chart" with all the costs, possible discounts ect... it is making me crazy!

That will be great if I can meet up with you and Christine. DH has nixed the idea of AOA probably best anyhow so I am looking at WL or BW for now or maybe CR GW

I was able to book Danimal a reservation at the Pirates League! I was surprised they actually had an opening. He's super excited to do it!

I think they would love it, and it might be fun to do before the halloween party, but DH is thinking Princess dress shopping again for them. Then they could wear them to CRT too. I really want to ask them what they want... but it's a surprise!! How do you get around that one...

Sheila, I would LOVE it if you could be there at the same time! WL is gorgeous for the holidays and you could request a refurbished room - most, if not all, should be done by then. Would have loved to stay there, but could not resist BLT points...studios are barely larger than a POP room (what was Disney thinking on that one?), but it will just be two of us...and now that they put sinks in the bathroom, it will be nice to try a new resort. (Can you believe when the resort opened the bathroom sink was in the kitchenette?? yuck!). Have stayed at CR wings and Tower (years and years ago), so will be fun to experience BLT.

Have you booked anything yet? I would say, although WL is beautiful, BWI is a perfect location that time of year...hold something soon just to hold, then can always apply any discount. Of course you know all of that...the last 3 yrs free dining was available the 2nd Sunday of December for limited dates.

I'm sorry but the GF is a mess!!!! I'm not sure why anyone would fork over those prices for the GF right now. The views are all blocked, the pool/beach area is surrounded by walls...ugh! they should be offering discounts to people willing to put up with it. I'm sure it will be amazing once the construction is done, but yuck!

Saw that too. No more waffling for me. It wasn't just the report itself---it was the pictures that really did it in for me. I know there's construction, but put of the magic there for me is the beach. I guess I'll have to just be in love with the beach I got married on at the Polynesian!
