I'm currently booked into a standard room and would like to switch to a preferred for a King sized bed. Is this possible? How would I go about doing this and does it cost extra

You can't book a king room at the All Stars. It is a request only, and many king rooms are also handicapped accessible.

Preferred buildings do cost more, and there is no guarantee you will get a king bed. If you don't want to pay the extra for preferred, you can still request a king bed, they have some in each building, preferred and standard.

Just called and the guy put my request in, and said that he's never seen an issue with getting a king sized bed at a value resort since most bookings are with families. Sounded pretty optimistic lol we'll see i guess

Good luck! But be aware that if you get a handicapped accessible king room it will be set up a bit different. No tub, maybe more like a wet bath area.

There are very few King so no category has an advantage.
If it's a deal breaker I would be booking at a resort where it is a bookable category.

Map locates:
- 12 in Standard, 12 in Preferred (Regular rooms)
- 12 in Standard, 12 in Preferred (Handicapped rooms)

We just left recently, and need a roll in shower for my daughter. If you need a king roll in shower room, it is a bookable category. When you book the room, you NEED to check "handicapped accessible" room to check availability. Then you can see if they have KING rooms with ROLL IN SHOWER. There are not a lot of them. The roll in shower has a seat (which she needs), but be warned, the bathroom will get very wet (we used a few extra towels to dry the floor).

We had booked a preferred room, to be close to transportation.

They have very few of these rooms.

We were in room 1318.
