I'd love to hear from anyone who has experience at either resort with the bus system. Particularly regarding if/when (time of day and where to) you shared with other AS resorts. Most interested in pre-park open (~8AM) and park close buses. Thanks!

I've stayed several times at the All Stars(all of them). The bus sharing thing is really silly. Rarely, will you share a bus. At park opening/closing for sure there will be a dedicated bus. Don't believe all the negativity about the buses....all the mods and deluxe resorts have multiple bus stops and no one goes on about that. You may share a bus in the middle of the day at a slow time of year. Most often those buses are going to the water parks or DTD.

I had a completely different experience when staying at ASMo last month. There was only one time when we didn't share a bus, and that was leaving MNSSHP. Every other day was shared buses, many of which were packed. MK and DHS (surprisingly) buses were often standing room only, especially at ASMo, since the buses had already stopped at the other two All-Star Resorts. During the middle of the day, the buses were much better, but until about 10 or 11, it was packed with people getting to their parks, and then around dinner time they would fill up again with people going to their ADRs. I ended up just taking the bus that had the shortest line and adjusting my plans to take advantage of the least busy bus. It wasn't always busy, but more often than not one of the parks would have a huge line, and except for that MNSSHP part, each bus would stop at all three All-Star Resorts to load and unload people. It wasn't always bad, but there were definitely frustrating moments, especially after some of the longer, hotter days.

But could you always get on a bus bound for the park you initially selected within 30 minutes?

While the All Stars may have separate buses during some times of the day I would not be surprised if a 'Movies bus, if it was not full, swung through 'Sports before heading off to the park.

That would depend on if you got on the bus or were part of the group who had to wait for another bus to show up. If I was headed to MK or DHS in the morning, there would be a chance that the wait for the buses at Movies would have been probably 45 minutes, give or take a few minutes, if I wasn't able to make that first bus. What I observed while there was that every bus started at All-Star Sports, then hit All-Star Music, and finally hit All-Star Movies last and on to the parks. If you were staying at Movies (during the duration of my stay at least), you were waiting on a potentially full bus that would hopefully let off enough people that those waiting in line would be able to get on the bus. The problem with Movies, specifically, is that the bus is stopping at Sports and Music before reaching Movies, and loading up a bunch of people. My room at Movies was closer to Music, so I'd just walk over there, but it was a similar situation at Music: you'd be waiting for a bus to come along that may have already picked up a majority of people, especially early in the day and right around dinner. Coming back was a similar issue, with three resorts worth of people lined up to try and get one bus. There were more than a handful of times that there were more people trying to get on to the bus than the bus could take. If there were scooters to be loaded, then the problem is compounded because one scooter takes up four seats, plus a seat for the rider and whoever was with them. During my stay, there were frequent times when there would be multiple scooters lined up to go to a park. I don't know if they take more than two scooters in a go, but that's ten seats taken up by two people, plus their families. If there were individual buses for the resorts, I think it would have definitely alleviated some of those problems, but when compared to the other resorts I've stayed at, I've never seen it that bad.

Can I ask what time of year/month you've had this experience or was it multiple times of year and this is for all of them?

This seems to be more of what I have read when I've done some digging. Park open and close is really all I care about, we don't do breaks or start late. We are currently booked for Sports and hoping all goes well with the buses. Stayed in Pop last time so have never dealt with this.

This was last month, from September 20-23. It was my first time staying at the All-Star Resorts.
