AS Mu -- Calypso Building Question?

Is all of the Calypso building preferred rooms or just the rooms that are facing the pool. I can't seem to find which exact rooms are preferred.

I believe it is the whole building. I think the preferred views refer to the entire building, rather than actual views.

Calypso is preferred b/c it is the closest to the exit to the buses at ASMu. It is also going to be where the most noise is till late in the night since the big pool is right there too. We stayed in Broadway right past Calypso b/c it was still kinda close. It turned out to be the quietest place ever. We never even knew if we had neighbors or not. We loved it so much we are requesting to stay in Broadway again.

All of both Calypso buildings are preferred. If you like it more quiet, ask to face away from the pool. THe bus stops and food court are closest to Calypso. My DD loves ASMu. Probably her favorite WDW hotel. She really enjoyed the poolside activities and games.

What side are the Family Suites located on or are the scattered equally poolside and parking lot side of the Calypso building?

I asked a CM this question the other day, and he seemed to imply that they were scattered throughout the building. We did have a pool side view, 2nd floor family suite... and it was pretty quiet. We were up near the neck of the guitar for realtionship to proximity of the pool.

Did you request the Calypso Bldg? There are also Family Suites in the Jazz Bldg too. I have no idea where we will be or where it would be better to be.

No, I didn't request Calypso... it's just what we got. Hmmm, makes me think about doing Jazz this year, for a change. The Jazz is preferred as well, right? I have another couple going that is in preferred, and our BFF's who are currently standard, because I can't get a preferred for them on our PIN (had to extend their trip by 2 days... and lost the preferred status).

I was hoping they'd put us all as close as possible, just to make it easier to go to the parks together.

We stayed in a family suite in the Jazz building over Spring Break '09. While it's not as close as Calypso - it was close to the Piano pool which was nice too and we have 3 young kiddies (9, 7, and 6). It was maybe 80 yards further of walk, but nice, quiet, and actually right in between the two pools. I think the family suites are only in these two sections so either way..you can't go wrong!!

We really liked ASMu too - we're thinking of going back in Nov. '10 for the Holiday lights.

Jazz isn't preferred it's a standard room and right next to the Calypso section. We have stayed there and they have the privacy curtain as well.
