I’m taking my 11 yr old dd to Disney for the first time since she was too young to remember. We are on a tight budget and are splurging to stay on-property instead of an el-cheapo highway motel. The only value resort that was available for our dates was Music so I booked it. It will be a surprise to my daughter that will be revealed when we board the ME at the airport. I have requested Rock Inn as it looks more her style. She’s not totally enamored with disney characters now that she’s older but I want it to feel special and Disney-ish. So I’ve since noticed that every few days Movies will pop up available for a short while before going unavailable again. Do you all think it’s that much better than Music that I should jump ship the next time it comes available? We will be at the parks most the day but I still want it to be special. Thanks in advance!

It’s really the same resort. Movies, music, sports. They have the same everything except decor. We preferrred movies because my kids loved Dalmatians as toddlers and Toy Story later. However the piano pool at music is so cool I think an 11yr old would like that better IMO .

It’s nice you want the best, no worries, she will love it! Whatever you choose.

Also the 3 are walkable so we loved to visit each resort and look around, the buildings and stuff are very fun for all ages. You can also eat at any of them too!

Enjoy!

Music is the middle All Star and an easy walk to both Sports and Movies. It is newly refurbished so the rooms are identical to Movies. Rock Inn is on the side of Sports across the parking lot and Broadway is on the side of Movies, again across the parking lot. We have stayed in both sections and you cannot go wrong with either. You can also use the pools at all of them as they are sister resorts. Enjoy your trip and make great memories.

P.S. If you cross the lot into Sports and exit from the front it is a very easy walk on a pedestrian path to a 24 hour Mc Donalds with regular (not Disney) prices.

Movies was refurbed before Music, so that is the reason we always chose it. Now that they are all refurbed, my boys prefer Sports simply because of the football field. Other than individual preferences like that, they are all very similar.

Same price, yes, I'd switch...unless she's super into music or something. They layout of music is rough...they really only have 1 section that is close to buses/lobby. It's not a deal breaker, but we'd definitely choose movies or sports over music for that reason alone. Our favorite value is Movies...we just really like the outdoor decor and layout.

It's nothing huge though, so if you can't get it, don't sweat it.
