As God as my witness.I'll never be sick at Disney World again~~~wrapping things up...

The next morning we headed for Cannon Beach. It's about an hour and a half drive. It went by fast because the scenery is amazing!
It had been 15 years since I had visited the Oregon coast. And a little bit longer for Dani. Our Dad was raised in Oregon and we have family still there, so we would vacation there growing up.

I can't really explain how much I love the coastline along Oregon and Washington. Next to disneyworld, it's my favortie place to go! I always get so excited and I cry when I get my first glimpse of the water....there's just something about looking out and only seeing water and sky. I've only been to 2 beaches on the east coast and they don't compare.

So here's a bunch of pictures.......I took 250 between 2 beaches. Don't worry, I won't post them all!

Nice pics Cherie...It looks like the weather couldn't decide if it wanted to be warm or cold.

Those are beautiful shots of you all at the coast. I really like the ones with you and your boys and the one with you, your sister and Kaylie.:goodvibes

Thanks for sharing!

Great photos from the "dollar store version of AK." :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2: You and your sister crack me up on the sawhorses!
it's good to know that someone besides us is amused!

Great trip report!
thanks!

I love these pictures. Grace and Kaylie are the same age so I know how much fun you had with her. Grace is learning her colors and she loves blue. She had to dye a blue and green egg. She stuck her hand in the cup and she ended out with one hand blue as a smurf and the other one green. I had to scrub the heck out of her hands to get if off.
oh my goodness! I hope you took a picture of her hands!!

I love the picture of the monkey looking at your son. I mix up there names I am sorry. Is it ethan? I think that is a nice zoo. I hope you and your sister and kids had a good time.
Hunter was the one with the monkey.....don't worry, I call them by the wrong name all the time!

Beuatiful beach pictures! I never realized the Pacific Ocean looks so different from the Atlantic.

thanks! I'm not sure if southern california coast line is that different.....I have been told that the water is colder there than the southern atlantic states............does that make sense?:rotfl:

I loved all the pictures of the animals at the zoo! That seemed like a nice zoo! I also have a love for zoos just because I love animals! But not as much as I love disney world of course. hehe

I loved the picture where it looks like the heards are touching! It's sooo cute.

Also, the beach pictures were beautiful- it made me want to go there!! :goodvibes

Here's the last part of the mini trip!

Just a few more of the beach...

To get to the beach in the state park you have to go through a tiny winding road going 5 miles an hour for about 20 minutes. It's really pretty! Dani kept wanting to take pictures of the scenery but I was a little nervous stoping because it would be hard for another car to see us...So she would yell stop, and then I would stop while she hung halfway out the window.

DSC03355.jpg

I stopped a little too fast and she banged her face into the windsheild....

Dani retaliates....

We found a nice little restraunt to have lunch. While the girls were in the bathroom the boys had fun with the camera...

The next morning it was time to head home. About 20 minutes east of Portland is Multnomah Falls. it is beautifull there. We stopped and hiked up part way. Hunter wanted to go the whole mile to the top but he was out voted.

After another hour or so we took a bridge across the Columbia River toward Marysville Washington......we were on our way to stonehenge..........

DSC03507.jpg

After WWI a local man built a to scale replica of stonehenge as a memorial to the 13 young men who had died in the war from that county.
It's a fun place to stop!

I'm not sure if it's the same waterfall....I think they filmed in Vancouver.

Love the pictures!!! That zoo looks like a great one! Ya'll are so creative with your picture taking! The Pacific is GORGEOUS! I'd love to go up there some day. As much as I love the Atlantic, I think the Pacific is prettier. The last pic of you and the boys is GORGEOUS!!!! GORGEOUS!!!!! :)

Wow I'm just amazed at the beauty. I would love someday to see this area. The waterfall picture was the best one.

I checked my director's note book (yeah, I am a Twilight freak! That's what they get for making their vampire so hot! :rotfl2:) There is a sign in the book that says Multnomah Falls and a note that says they shot across the river from the falls. How cool! It's a beautiful waterfall!

Cute Easter photos Cherie and the zoo photos cracked me up :rotfl: The beach looked absolutely beautiful and a replica stonehenge how funny :rotfl2:

Cherie--those pictures are great! I love the close-uo nostrils shot.:thumbsup2:lmao:
