as is dd9, I say "get 'em"!

http://www.dailymail.com/story/News...e-claims-McDonalds-didnt-sues-for-10-million/

A Morgantown man, his mother and his friend are suing McDonald's for $10 million.
The man says he bit into a hamburger and had a severe allergic reaction to the cheese melted on it.

Jeromy Jackson, who is in his early 20s, says he clearly ordered two Quarter Pounders without cheese at the McDonald's restaurant in Star City before heading to Clarksburg.

Don't know if I'd go for that much though...

10 million dollars and his mom and friend are part of the suit because they risked their lives getting them to the hospital? Come on that is a bit much to me. Also he supposedly told 3 people that he was allergic to cheese. If he was that cautious then why didn't he check just to make sure before he bit down?

Sounds a little fishy to me.

I don't believe it.

According to the article they bought the hamburgers in Star City WV and then drove home to Clarksburg WV; according to MapQuest the two are 41 miles apart. Then they went into a darkened house and started to eat without turning the light on.

Ridiculous. I always check my burgers to make sure they are prepared the way I want them. I would think a person with an allergy would do this automatically.

I always check my special orders before leaving the restaurant property. If the dressing isn't off of DS's snack wraps, he absolutely won't eat them. My son does have allergies, the ones we know about are environmental and we did require ER and epi, now he has to have epi pens. He may possibly have an allergy to an artificial flavor or dye. There is no test for these allergies with a blood or skin test. As a prudent parent, I read the labels, and if I am in doubt, I don't give it to my child. He was 9 when this happened and knows his allergies and is careful. If he had an allergy to milk products, he would check to see if the cheese was on or not, and well and I would check it.

I am very allergic to any kind of fish shell or fresh. I almost died after I ate at McDonalds where there must have been a cross contamination. My tongue became swollen I had hives all over internally as well as externally. I was about 40 miles from home called my mom drove back as far as I could she picked me up took me to one of the hospital's clinics where I could here them say her nails are blue and her pulse is 2 and I remember feeling them shove oxygen on me an hit me with an eppi pen. After that they shoved me in an ambulance and sent me to their main hospital and gave me a large dose of benadryl.

I always figure if I'm going to eat where they serve fish then it's a risk I take.

This guy ate the burger never checked it for cheese and then waited 2 years to file a law suit I don't think so.
