As a child, how often did you go to Disney?

My Aunt and Uncle live about 20 minutes from WDW. When we visited them, we usually spent at least a day at WDW. It wasn't every year though, I visited WDW 4x with my family. I don't think my parents would have gone if my aunt didn't live so close though, but I have really fun memories of those trips!

Never as a child! The year I was 11, my Grandmother was going to take me, but she she passed away right before our trip.

So as an adult I never went until my honeymoon. I was so happy to be getting married and I was going to meet Winnie the Pooh! I was so excited Hubby teased me about liking Pooh and Mickey more than him. Now that we have DD8 we take her 1-2 times a year. More if I could talk Hubby into it. I love it!!!!

I remember going the first time when I was like 5 with my mom, grandparents, and my now deceased sister.. Other trips followed when I was 10, 12, and 14.
I took my honeymoon there in 92, I was 21.
I'm divorced now and I have taken my daughter ( just she and I) 4 times since 2000. She was 5 on her first trip too.
She's 15 now and we are going again in 5 weeks. I hope she keeps it up when she one day has children of her own and makes her own good memories with them while also fondly remembering all the trips she took with her dad there.:goodvibes

By the time I was 13 I had been to WDW about 10 or 12 times. So we went ALOT. Unfortunately I only remember bits and pieces, I cant remember much of anything younger than 10 years old.

The first time I went I was 7 and we went down for a Subway Convention, My dad used to own a couple of the Subway restaurants, we stayed at the dolphin and it was one of the best times I ever had.

When he married my stepmom when I was 10 we went every year until I was 17 because her family lived there, but we would always stay with them and only go to for a day to disney so I dont think those trips should count :confused3

The first time I stayed on property is when I was a senior in high school and I went with my mom and stepdad, who is in the Air Force, we were supposed to be staying at the Shades of Green, but they were doing a remodel so we got bumped over to the Contemporary, I was not complaining it was Beautiful.
My kids (DS4 and DD 18 mos) have been twice.

I only went once as a kid. My grandparents snowbirded in Miami Beach, and my mom used to go down every year with my aunt and mom's 2 best friends. One year I got to go, and in my 8 year old mind I just assumed we'd go to the magic kingdom because DUH we were in Florida, and the Magic Kingdom is in Florida.
We ended up driving up from Miami beach on a Thursday during February vacation week, and drove back the same day. It was crazy busy (only MK and Epcot were open back then), and we didn't get to do too much, but it started an addiction that took 12 years for a 2nd fix.:rotfl: My DH only went twice as a kid.
My DS on the other hand, is about to make his 9th trip and he's not even 2 and a half...lucky kid!

I went when I was 2 and 4 (MK only), then once more (MK & Epcot) when I was about 15 (DSis was performer at Epcot with her HS Show Choir).
DH never went as a child. We went to Epcot, MGM and US when he was stationed in Florida around 1993/4? Our last trip was in 2005 with the kids. Can't wait for May/June 2010!!

Never :sad2:

My first ever trip to WDW was in 2007...at age 32. It was supposed to be our "once in a lifetime trip" ;) but we have gone for 3 consecutive years in a row and planning for our 4th year this year :goodvibes

DD(6) has been to WDW at ages 4,5,6, and (this year 7)

DD(3) has been to WDW starting at 15 months, 2, 3 and (this year 4)

We all :lovestruc love WDW and we just can't stay away!

I need to find out from my parents for certain. However, I grew up in Florida although I have not lived there in 26 years. We went the year they opened, once with a ton of relatives visiting from Indiana that I can remember, once with my cousin visiting from Missouri, and for grad night. I specifically remember those four times but I'm thinking there may have been another time or two in there somewhere, although I'm not sure. I wish I remembered the opening year but I was so young that I just remember my parents telling me about it. We take our children more than I went as a child.
