aruba anyone?

We have the opportunity to stay at the Carribean Palm Village in Aruba and was wondering if anyone knows anything about this resort. Thanks.

Here's the latest (2y/o) review on TUG. it's rated very low, you should not take it DVC exchange or any other unless you're truly desperate and/or can get it very cheaply, like $300 for a week.

We had the opportunity to visit this resort while in Aruba._ This resort is not a resort that I would request an exchange to._ It is not located near the beach and in fact is located in an area where there is no other resort or attractions._ Although Aruba as a whole is a very safe destination this resort is located in an area where I would not feel comfortable walking around at night._ While staying at the Marriott we went for several walks on the beach at midnight and felt completely safe and comfortable.

The staff at this resort in my opinion was subpar._ They were in no way professional or friendly._ We found the front office staff to be very rude and shabbily dressed._ The one restaurant (if you can call it that) is a small sit down area like a deli._ I agree whole heartedly with a previous review of this resort._ If I had been confirmed into this resort I would move to another location and request my week and exchange fee back.
