Artscow canceled my order, HELP!

Hi all, do any of you know where the copyright information for using the Disney Images is located?

Artscow canceled my photobook order for my autograph books and claimed it is a copyright issue.

I have to say I do not like this company at all! This is the second order I have placed and the ssecond time I have had problems. The first set of photobooks came in and I did not like the quality at all. The binding was showing and almost ripping the pages, there is nothing they were willing to do to fix the issue. If they were not having such a good sale ($4.99 for a 5x7 with .30 a page after that, including shipping) I would have never used them again. So I invested another 6 hours getting the lay out just right on these books and now this.


I also have to say there is a mysterious charge that showed up on my account for "International fees", it was only .38 but it is the principle behind this. I can tell you I will not be using them again, and I will be spreading the word to others about thier company.

If any of you have any information that could help me get this order, only becuase of the time I invested I would be very greatful!

It surprises me that any company prints autograph books because of Disney's strong copyrights. Getting already printed ones bound makes more sense as to why a company might do it....from discussion on this forum I believe it kind of depends on who at Artscow works the order whether they reject or not...

Oh, and Artscow is a Hong Kong based company....thus the international fees

I have had nothing but trouble ordering from that place!! sorry! Plus their shipping is slower than slow. One year I ordered christmas cards, they took 6 weeks and were delivered on 1/15!

Oh the fun just doesn't stop. I called my bank to inquire on the fees, and they said since the company is in China they should have been blocked! Now I have to get a new card to prevent fraud.

All beware, China is on a fraud watch list and transactions processed in China can't be protected since they are on a list. They will make sure my money is refunded, but to further proected my account I have to cancel my card.

As a former bank professional who worked in the security and risk area, I should have seen this. Let this be a warning to all.

For the most part, Artscow will print Disney images because no human ever looks at what is being printed, it is all done by machines. If you contact them to inquire about your order, then someone has to look at it and they will cancel your Disney realted order. They seem to operate on a "don't look, don't tell" policy for the most part. You may have been flagged because you have contacted the company to complain about a previous order. What you saw in the binding is the sewing. They sew their books together instead of gluing them together, which actually holds them together better. Marion in right - they are in Hong Kong, and with the international shipping it can take up to 3-4 weeks to get your order (although I have gotten my orders in 14-17 days on average). If you feel that strongly about Artscow, you might want to try Snapfish instead.

Sorry you are having such bad luck. I've designed and received 3 great autograph books over the years through arts cow. I plan to do two more this weekend.

I also just recently had my order cancelled from ArtsCow (same reason) and I didn't contact them for any reason beforehand.

Also, I paid them with a credit card and they said they could only refund me thru paypal? I said ok and they then did credit me thru paypal but then I had to pay fees thru paypal and ArtsCow wouldn't cover the paypal fees. So, I ended up being out the paypal fees, which I felt like was unfair since I had paid with a credit card to begin with!

I will never use ArtsCow again, this was my first time!

I just received the same rejection from Artscow this morning. Was anyone able to successfully submit their order to another site?

It is so disappointing that so many people have been able to place successful orders and mine got flagged for some reason. I really just wanted to make something special for my kids.

Why yes, yes we do!!!! and you are right they are AWESOME!!! This is a great group of creative people who LOVE to share. This is my second trip using these designs. We go A LOT of attention from these DISigned books!
Any extra special attention the kids can get makes our trip!!!!!!

I've had the same issue with Artscow in the past. It took them three weeks after I submitted my order to tell me that they were cancelling it. I spent HOURS on the perfect layout for these books (their software is AWFUL) and I was not pleased at all. So, I wrote a little nastygram to the person who informed me they were cancelling my order and they promptly printed and shipped it.

Maybe sending one yourself might do the trick? Good luck!

Yes, it was just a photobook. If you have the characters sign with a Sharpie and let it dry for a couple of seconds before closing the book, it works like a dream.

I had the same problem with them last time I tried to send an autograph book. They did the take 3 weeks then send me a cancel notice in such a short time that I couldn't send it anywhere else.I too sent a nastygram but it did no good, they just kept saying we are sorry we wont print it. BUT Snapfish and shutterfly have printed them for me with great results. On that particular occasion I ended up printing the pages at walmart as 4x6 prints then I took them to Office Depot and had then spiral bound, they worked great!!
