Artists Point Dinner walk-in experiences?

Planning a last minute short trip for June, and we'd like to do the Snow White Dinner at Artists Point. Of course, the reservations are all gone.

I was wondering if Artists Point accepts diners without reservations. A castmember on the phone told me that restaurant does, but I've been lead astray before.

Does anyone have any experience doing the Snow White Dinner without reservations? I'm wondering how long it took, and expecting a 1 to 2 hour (or more) wait.

Lastly, is there a cutoff time for when non reservation customers are accepted?

I tried to contact the restaurant with these questions, but so far I only get an answering machine (and no return call).

Before it became the Snow White Dinner, Artist Point probably could handle a walk up or two, but with the character dining, I wouldn't expect them to be able to accommodate you at all. Keep trying for an ADR all the way up to the night you want to eat there. It's a long way out of your way to go and be told "sorry."

I would sign up for the TP reservation finder to see if anything pops up. If you sign up and get a text or e-mail that something is available, just be prepared to click on the link immediately to try to snag the reservation: https://touringplans.com/walt-disney-world/reservation-finder

I would also keep checking as things tend to open up at the 30-day mark (when package balances are due) and the day before (when no-shows fees would kick in if the reservation isn't cancelled)

There is no way to get a definitive answer regarding walk-ups. Someone could get a walk-up one day and another could be turned away the next. We've walked up to many restaurants and had luck, but have walked up to just as many and have been turned away. On one trip we walked up to WCC three times - next trip, walk-ups were a no-go and we had to make an ADR for another day. Personally, there is no way I would attempt a walk-up to a restaurant that required any type of transportation and, we always have a plan B (typically QS), if the walk-up isn't successful. We only walk-up to restaurants if we happen to be right in the vicinity and are prepared to get a "no".

I also recommend the Touring plans reservation finder. It really works. I needed a table for 7 at Artist Point in July and about 4 reservations opened up in a few weeks: some of them were too late for my party which includes two toddlers and a baby, but I finally got one at 5:25 pm which is perfect for us. Each time I got a text, sure enough the reservation was right there. You could show up and be prepared for a very long wait or more likely being told it is totally booked. I've seen that happen a lot ("sorry, ADRs only) at other restaurants that aren't nearly as popular as Artist Point currently is. I think if you do the reservation finder, you have a good shot of finding something even if it is very early in dinner hour or very late. Good luck!

Thank you for the great suggestions! I'll keep trying, and will definitely have a backup ready. I've signed up for the TP alert also. I figured if we can't get in, we'll have dinner at Disney Springs.

We were able to get a reservation about a week out during busy spring break time (it was an early dinner at 430). I also saw a few more pop up during our week stay
