Please let me know if you like this restaurant and what you ordered. We have a PS for dh and myself at Narcoossee's but we might switch to the Artist Point because we will be staying at the WL.

We went few times, and loved it. I have always had the salmon, and it was the best salmon I had ever had, (I know that some people have complained about it), I also had a heirloom tomato salad and the berry cobbler, my husband probably had red meat, and also enjoyed it....It is a very nice restaurant, and certainly very convenient if you are staying right there.

If you have not tried The Flying Fish Cafe on the boardwalk, then you are definatly missing out. We have ate at Artist Point twice and were not that impressed with the food. Both times we ordered different entree's and both times we were dissapointed.

Now for The Flying Fish Cafe, we have had just about everything on the menu and it is always awesome. The Char Crusted New York Strip Steak is absolutly unbelievable! So far the best for us at WDW and we have pretty much tried all the resturants there. here is thier menu;

it does change a little bit, but the steak is always there :cool1:

We ate there just a few weeks ago. We had the Chef's selections with wine pairings--I believe it was around $70.00 each. This came with the mushroom soup (which I really love) and wine, salad and wine (there were two choices for the salad--we both took the pear and walnut salad--great), DH had the salmon for his entree, I had the steak both were great of course these were paired with wine and finally the berry cobbler for dessert with a wonderful ice wine. My son ordered the chicken breast, mashed potato and veggies and my daughter had the macaroni and cheese and the white chocolate puzzle dessert. This is one of my favorite restaurants.

Definately switch to ap, it is much, much better than narcoosees.

We have had many, many items from the menu and there isn't a loser in the bunch. We have been taking friends/family there since they opened. It is a must do for us.

We really like AP - one of the highlights of our trip last month. I wrote a review of the restaurant here if you're interested:

We at there with my parents last summer and it was hands down the best meal I've ever had!!!!! My parents and I ordered the chef's selection which gives you a couple of choices for each course. The three of us had buffalo and DH had salmon all were yummy and I don't usually like salmon, but had to try a bite. The mushroom soup was fabulous as well. We all ordered the 'coffee two ways' for dessert. It's mochachino bread pudding and vanilla late creme brulee. It was melt in your mouth delicious!!!!! :love: :love: My parents also ordered the wine pairings and said they were very good. I am such a light weight that I was afraid to have too much wine with dinner. (don't know where those genes came from :confused3) The server explained each wine pairing to us. DH was a little jealous of the presentation the wine was receiving, so the waitress gave his budlight the same kind of attention. :rotfl2:

Hi,

AP is great!!!!!! Had the chef's selection!!! It is cheaper than getting things seprate!!! Have a good meal

I'd do both! I like the salmon at AP, but I LOVED the salmon at Narcoosee's! The only thing I didn't like about Narcoosee's was it was a little noisy. AP was quieter.

I've been to Artists Point a few times and to Narcoosees only once. I didn't like Narcoosees at all, it was loud and service was not up to par with price. Artist point although I can't remember what I had was a more enjoyable atmosphere. My husband has had buffalo, ostrich and steak at AP.

Love it! Had the salmon served on a cedar plank. We also had a great appetizer that included tastes of several things--I think it was a chef's special that evening. Nice atmosphere. Great service.

We too, have had dinner at both. I think that what we liked best about AP was the quiet, relaxing atmosphere. It was really wonderful to come back to the WL and have a break from all the craziness of the parks. The food was very good and my kids enjoyed their "upscale" dinners also.

That said, we also enjoyed Narcoosee's for our Thanksgiving dinner. It was however, rather loud. The food was excellent and so was the service. It was just a different type of meal.

I really don't think you can go wrong with either one!

We love AP. The service there is great and we have never had the food disappoint. In fact, on our 9th anniversary, DH and I went to the early showing of Cirque and then to AP. Our server was so wonderful--when we sat down he said, "You two look so happy--more than Disney happy. Are you celebrating something tonight?" We said it was our anniversary and what do you know? Complimentary dessert and coffee (berry cobbler). We were thrilled and he got an extra big tip.

Thank you for all the responses, I love salmon, so I'm switched my PS's. We are doing Kids Nite Out in room sitting, and my dh and I are getting one night to ourselves. I can't wait!
