Well for me the madness to get ADR's has begun. For my first night at Disney (Oct 4), I was able to get an 8:20 reservation at Artist Point. My other choices were all booked up. Gee, what a surprise.

I've read some reviews and looked at the menu. Still I would like to read what you, my fellow disboarders, think of the place. What to expect, best menu choice, etc. Thanks.

The restaurant is very rustic in decor. The food is good. The service is excellent and this is one of the quietest restaurants on the dining plan so it can be a real treat for a nice relaxing meal.

We had excellent service at AP and it's been one of our go-to's for a romantic night out. Both DH and I had some kind of fish (two specials that night) the last time we went and they were extremely tasty. I'm not sure I've ever had something I don't like. DH didn't like the taste of the venison egg roll things (he's not into deer but thought they sounded good) and the waiter took it off the bill.

Rustic? I'd say it is modern Northwest style. The food is good. DH loves the mushroom soup. I have the planked salmon which is always very good. The cobbler is a must for dessert.

This December will be our first visit to Artist Point but the 3 menu items you mentioned are what I'm planning to order - Yum!

Our favorite by far. Much more quiet than the other sig restaurants we've visited. Ask for a table overlooking the pool area, and you can see the electric water show.

Thanks for the tip. I got my fingers crossed about Artist Point. It was my second choice; WCC was my first. Glad I got my ADR's for Boma and Jiko.

I have to agree with everyone. Have always had good food. Waitstaff is very attentive. I asked the waitress if I could get a different side because one of the sides had nuts and I was allergic. She not only offered a variety of sides, some not even on the menu but made sure to check with the chefs on every item I ordered so that there were no nuts anywhere around my meal. I think this a very quiet relaxing restaurant. The restaurant manager even came by that night and gave us his card in case we needed anything.
:thumbsup2
