Artist Point?

I've been a couple of times. The first time I got the most delicious portobello soup, buffalo steak, and berry cobbler and had the waiter choose a wine to go with each course. It was sooo good. Nice view, wonderful waiter, and excellent food. I'd have went back just for the portobello soup and cobbler.:rotfl:

The second time I got a cheese plate, their signature cedar plank salmon, and the cobbler again. I wasn't as happy with my choices as I was the first time, plus they had seated me at a table just as you walk in, the first one past the check in desk. I really didn't like the location. It seemed like everyone was looking at my food as they walked by to go to their tables. Also the first time I had a really nice attentive waiter, but the second time the waiter was almost rude, giving the impression that he had better things to do than wait on tables and that we were an imposition.:confused3

We've been twice, both times we had excellent service and great food. We generally get the salmon, beef, or pork and have really enjoyed the dishes. I'm not a salmon person, but tried it and found it excellent(by my standards anyway). Also, if you enjoy wine this is one of the best wine lists(Northwest US) on property -next to the California Grill, of course. I recommend it for a nice night out.

We enjoy it very much. My husband always has to eat there, every trip!

a beautiful restaurant. I have enjoyed the buffalo steak in the past but haven't tried the short ribs that have since replaced it. I find it one of the most relaxing of the signature restaurants a Disney.

We will never go to WDW without eating at Artist Point. It is our absolute favorite. We love it. We've had various different dishes and loved them all. We have never had bad service. Actually, we have always had outstanding service. We tell everyone we know to go there. If you go, enjoy!!!!

This is one of our MUST Restaurants for every trip. We've been working our way around the menu. I have yet to have anything that was not wonderful. I was a little sad to see the Buffalo steak is no longer on the menu.

I am also glad this has remained a 2TS restaurant!!! I feel LeCellier quality fell with the intro of the DDP and it being a 1TS. We normally eat at 2-4 2TS restaurants every stay.

Artist Point is normally quiet, and subdued. I've never seen it crowded or rushed (something I cannot say about Flying Fish). Our Waiters have normally been awesome. My only complaint has been being seated too close to the door, with all the distraction of people coming & going.

This is one of my favorite Disney restaurants. I prefer to be seated in the back rather than along the corridor in the front if possible. Favorite dishes are the portobello soup, the salmon, and the cheese plate. They also have one of the best children's menus, in my opinion. Lots of fresh vegetables and grilled meats available for the young ones. Not everything they offer for the kids is on the menu, but the waiter can tell you what they can do.

I've been three times, the first time (2007) was out of this world. dh had salmon, dd and I had beef with purple potatoes and son had chicken. The second (2008) time they had changed the menu around a little but we still got the same main meats (no more purple potatos :sad1:) Our food was so so My steak came out well done, I asked for medium rare, and service was terrible, waitress acted like a snob and only came to our table once after taking our order, we had to ask another waiter for assistance. We figured every place has a bad day so we went a third time (2008) and decided it would be the last. Ordered the same as the other 2 times (still minus the purple potatos) again it was only ok and service was terrible. We have never experienced a wait staff at disney like we encountered at Artist Point. We eat out often, always dress nice, and kids are well behaved in restaurants. We almost always stay at WL but this is one restaurant we will not waste our money on again.

We've been a few times and have had the buffalo steak, salmon, pork. I remember having the mushroom soup and not liking it (not near as good as the chantarelle mushroom soup I had at Jiko). The berry cobbler was very good.

We've always had good service here. I absolutely hate the decor of the restaurant; I just can't feel like it's a special meal when I'm sitting in a rustic cabin, but that's me. The food is decent, not my fave on property, but it's good enough for an occasional dinner.

I've been several times and, sadly, each successive time it seemed to be worse and worse. I always ordered the buffalo steak and the last time I ordered that (I ordered it medium rare), it was as close to tartar as you could possibly get. It was awful. The meat was not a good cut, either. Even the venison spring rolls tasted incredibly bland. The sweet potato portion of the entree was swimming in butter. The last time we ate there was in July 2008. Now that buffalo is off the menu, Artist Point will not see us for a while.
