Have the dining plan. Have always wanted to try Arisit Point but is it worth two table service credits ? Please consider not just $$, is the atmosphere and the dining experience worth it. Have considered going and ordering on a cash basis to sample the restuarant. What's everyone's opinion ?

Of all the restaurants at Disney this is one of my favorites.

Love everything on the menu. Yummy!

I honestly do think it's worth two credits, but I'd probably split them with another person.

We ate there in December (not on the dining plan), and I ordered the prix fixe menu which came with soup, salad, entree, and dessert. My sister ordered the cheese platter, and an entree. We then split the dessert. It was just way too much food for us. If my sister and I were going again we'd get two apps, split an entree, and then split dessret. So if we were on the plan we'd only have to pay for an additional app. Although, if I was dining with my DH or somebody else with a hearty appetite I don't think a split entree would satisfy them. Maybe we'd use the 2 credits for the prix fixe (and one of you get the soup and one get the salad), and then the second person order an additional entree.

You asked about atmosphere. It's not exactly romantic, I think the lighting level is a little high for that. It's still very nice though. Definitely give it a shot! The food is alone is definitely worth the two credits.

Definitely worth it, but my computations indicated that we were better off paying OOP for a signature restaurant meal, and thereby not having to pay OOP for two 1 TS meals.

I'm curious, would a well behaved 6yo at an early dinner be stared at? I REALLY want to try the cedar plank salmon :stir:

I don't see any trouble with bringing kids. We brought our nine year old, and I saw other children. We did wear business casual, and others seemed nicely dressed. I think it would be worth 2 TS. The food is very good, the service excellent. The Mushroom soup was to die for! We arrived for the 5:30 seating, and stepped out on the balcony at 6 so my DS could see the geyser. It was our first night, and a perfect kick off to our vacation  .

Thanks for everyone's input.

Bicker

I tend to agree that paying out of pocket for signature restuarnt is more fiscally prudent than using 2 TS.

Vital,

IMHO, although I have never eaten at Artist Point, I think a well behaved 6 year would be more than welcome. I have eaten at many other WDW signature dining locations and have observed the well behaved and not so well behaved.

Oudgrad86,

I also go business casual when eating in one of more upsale WDW restuarents.

Goodeats,

Your online name is one of my favorite foodnetwork TV shows

Mamu,

What are your other WDW favorites ?
