Just had a delightful dinner tonight with DH at Artist Point. We had eaten there 7 or 8 years ago and were underwhelmed but after seeing recent reviews we decided to try again....VERY glad we did.
We were seated quickly after arrival. Most tables were occupied by still did not seem loud or crowded. I started with the Portobello soup, DH had the salad. Soup was excellent....the kind that is so good you really wish you could lick the bowl but....DH loved the salad. I had the salmon he had the halibut. Every bite on my plate was perfect. Fish was perfectly cooked, accompaniments were lovely and tasty. All I know about the halibut is DH said it was excellent....disappeared before I got my fork over there to try it :) We eat a lot of fish and we both agreed this was fresh and some of the best we have eaten. We shared a cobbler for dessert...and again it was a hit. Perfect ending. The berries were fresh, ripe, tart and tasty, crust light and sweet and buttery.

Service was exactly what we love....knowledgeable and attentive without being over friendly and super chatty. My only negative was the coffee. We both ordered coffee with dessert and he brought 2 press pots of coffee (at $6.79 each !) and the water was not very hot so the coffee was not very good. Guess we could have sent it back but by then it didn't seem worth the trouble

Total for the evening including expensive coffee, tax and tip (with the TIW discount) was just under $125.

I would give the food an A+, the service an A+ and the atmosphere an A. All in all a lovely evening. We will go back and it won't be 7 or 8 years this time!!

We went to Artist Point in Nov 2012 - 2 adults, 2 kids (7 and 12) - and loved it! My daughter (7) still talks about the bison strip steak and the Mickey puzzle. My niece loved her salmon, I had some vegetable lasagna type dish wihich was good and I agree the cobbler is superb. The service was great and made a leisurely fancy meal go by no problem even with children. Oh and they have port flights, so mommy went home very happy!

I was upset after our meal in December. My filet mignon was so stringy & hard to cut. My husband agreed it was below par quality. Husbands wild game trio was excellent though. I shouldve had the salmon. Not sure if I'll go back.

Sounds like a wonderful meal. We haven't dined there before, but I would love to try that soup.

We were in the same position. We had gone a few times but had hit or miss experiences. We decided to give it a try in Dec. and it was one of the best meals we have had from a signature in a while. We are going back in 2 weeks so hopefully it keeps up!

Sounds great, thanks for sharing! We have a reservation for our September trip, and are really looking forward to dining there. :goodvibes

This is one of those places that we often make an ADR for, but then wind up canceling since it's never easy for us to get over to the WL. Finally, we are staying at the WL for a few nights this upcoming summer, and have our Artist Point ADR in place--in concrete! Thanks for cementing it for us. :)

Just out of curiosity, how dressy is it? We have eaten at most signatures on property, and find that some of them are pretty dressy (Cali Grill, Citricos), while others are a little more casual (Narcoossee's). While we're planning to adhere to the dress code, if it's tolerable at the restaurant to casual-it-up a little that would be great to save on one extra outfit since we have a two-week trip planned and I refuse to do laundry unless absolutely necessary while on vacation!

We were there for our 3rd time last June. We always have great service and delicious food.

This last time we were with my DSis and DBIL. We really set well and had a great bottle of wine.....we racked up quite a bill :)

It is not that dress, collared shirts, women really anything, except shorts and tee shirts.
