Artist Point or Narcoossee's?

Looking for recommendations from people who've been to one or both recently. Trying to nail down our last TS dinner.

The night before this reservation is BlueZoo, the day after this reservation is Skipper Canteen followed by Frontera.

We also have Paddlefish, Tiffin's, Jiko, Sanaa, Skipper Canteen, Frontera, California Grill and BlueZoo.

We'll be at the Poly pool all day and were thinking about something in the MK area resorts.

I'm definitely open to other suggestions.

Also Narcoosee's. The food and service were lacking when we went to Artist Point. We plan to try it again someday, but not anytime soon.

Narcoosee's. Not my top choice for a decent WDW meal, but the food at AP is downright bland, and personally, the WL is NOT my jam, so I'm already working against an atmosphere that, for me, sucks. Lots of people love that rustic lodge thing, so it might work for you! Cal Grill though, with the late night views, is excellent, Bluezoo has amazing food that could compete off property and FF is really consistent if you're up for other thoughts.

@amberpi we've got Cali and BlueZoo on other nights! Excited to try BlueZoo for the first time and return to Cali Grill again for their new menu.

We also have Paddlefish, Tiffin's, Jiko, and Frontera

Want to try Narcoosee's but 2 years ago around Christmas we absolutely loved Artist Point. Food was great. Had the charcuterie plate as an app and split the mushroom bisque. Amazing.

I vote for Artist Point. We've eaten there four times and it has been consistently outstanding. I also love the atmosphere in the restaurant - very subdued and relaxing - plus visiting WL for the evening. We've, unfortunately, had two very expensive, very bad meals at Narcoosee's so I can't recommend it. I also find the restaurant to be very loud.

Artist Point. Best meal i've ever had. Food is pheominal. And the service, also the best. I very highly recommend this place.

Reading has apparently NOT been my forte on the Dis in the last 24 hours! That all sounds DELICIOUS! I can't wait to try Tiffin's myself in late May.

Bluezoo is amazing, you'll love it.

I'm going completely off course again and if you decide on neither AP or Narcosee's (it really is good, just not OMG) and given your other choices, MP might be something different.

Based on your dining alone, ya'll are going to have a GREAT time!

@amberpi Your reading comprehension is fine! I added it after you posted, I didn't say what other restaurants we were going to I figured I'd add it after your original post because it'd be helpful to know what else we already had on the itinerary

Regarding MP, we considered it but being at poly it'd be hard to get to by the time we were done with the Poly cabana (6-7 at night) and needing to either:

1 Walk to TTC take the Monorail and then walk through future world, boat to Morocco then over to france

or

2 Poly monorail to MK and then take a beach club bus walk to International Gateway and over to France.

We'd also likely be stuck in the mass exodus at park closing by the time we got done, which is something I don't particularly enjoy.

If I can might swap Cali to be the night in question and do MP on the night cali was on if a reservation becomes available at Cali.

AP vs Narcoosee's seems too close to call at this point.

IMG_1817.JPG Artist Point- above Halibut roasted tomato risotto and baby bok choy. Was outstanding. $42
Narcooses- below famous "Whole 2 lb Lobster" potatoes broccolini. It was ridiculous, I genuinely laughed when I asked are you sure this is the right meal? Seriously paid $70 for this. IMG_3230.JPG Artist Point. We eat there every trip and it has been consistently good. We have always had great service and meals here.
Narcoosees was disappointing. Waiter could have cared less, and the food was just eh. The view from a window side table is great, for fireworks and castle viewing, until people sit and stand on the deck directly in front of your table, however.

@Branflakes - I think they are switching our meals between the 2! But I've never ordered the lobster at narcosees as the sides seemed uninspired.

Although neither is my favorite, I would choose AP over Narcoossee's. Neither DH nor I liked our meal at Narcoossee's, I sent mine back with about two bites taken from it, DH ate his whole meal but was hungry after. Our AP meal was fine, but we just felt that the selections at the time were a little boring, and our meal felt very heavy.

The rest of your dining sounds delicious though! We have eaten at Nomad Lounge but not Tiffins yet, and are very excited to go there in just a couple weeks now!!!!!!

Since we're sharing pics, here's mine from Artist Point.

First pic is steak, best steak ever. Served with carrots and potatoes.

We just finished a trip where we had 10 signature dinners, including Artist Point and Narcoossee's.

To be completely honest, they were among my least favorite.

That being said, on all of our previous trips, we've had consistently great dining experiences at Artist Point (such that, before this most recent trip, I would have rated it as one of my top 3-4 signatures). But on this most recent trip, it seems like the main entrees had taken a rustic turn, which didn't suit my tastes (thankfully, they still had the portebello mushroom soup and the berry cobbler dessert, which are personal favorites).

Narcoossee's has always been on the lower end of signatures for us. Unless there's a really good seasonal seafood offering (which is very hit and miss), I struggle with their menu because I find their lobster entrees to be extremely overpriced (even by Disney standards), am never wowed by their regular seafood entrees, and prefer other signatures for steak.

For example, this last time I ordered the tuna entree (as I generally love pan seared tuna). The dish had a very Asian flair and the waitress warned me that I might find it too spicy, which I did. Prior to that entree, I had a salad that, quite frankly, was not nearly as good as the salad I had earlier in the trip at Boatwright's (a non-signature). For dessert, I had their signature almond crusted cheesecake, which was very good (albeit very sweet).

Overall, I prefer Artist Point as a restaurant over Narcoossee's, not only for food but also for atmosphere. Artist Point is quieter and, moreover, I think the overall experience of dinner by Wilderness Lodge lobby beats dinner on the far side of the Grand Floridian (in that regard, we prefer the overall dining experience of Citricos, which is in the main Grand Floridian lobby, over Narcoossee's as well).

Masonmj84, with all those Sigs under your belt, would love it if you would share which were favorites. It seems like so many reviews are not very current, and places we've loved in the past may not be the same now, what with lots of menu changes and just changes in general. Which were "hits" for you on this trip? (And I apologize to the OP for going off topic!)
