Artist Point or Le Cellier?

Since these are two of our three favorite restaurants it's a hard choice. If you want something more quiet, I'd pick Artist Point. The food at both places is excellent. I guess this last vacation I was only able to eat at one and I picked Artist Point, if that means anything.

I did both this last trip but did Artist Point for dinner and Le Cellier for lunch so its not exactly equal but if I were to choose I would say that the meal at Artist Point was better and more quiet than the one at Le Cellier but then again you cant have the cheddar soup at Artist Point. Would still go with AP

Artist Point, hands down. LeCellier is fine - the Cheese Soup is phenomenal. But, overall, AP is a much better restaurant. There's a reason that it's a Signature Restaurant & LeCellier is not. We have eaten at AP well over a dozen times. It has been one of our Top 3 WDW restaurants since it opened. We have never had a bad meal there.

I agree! I love BOTH, but AP edges out LeCellier by a tiny bit. If I were you, I would just choose whatever is most convenient, location-wise.

Another vote here for Artist Point. We've had some spectacular meals there. Weren't all that impressed with Le Cellier...it was good, but not as good as Artist Point. ::MinnieMo

Yet another vote for Artist Point. We found Le Cellier to be a bit stuffy (probably because there were just too many tables for such a small space!) Artist Point is beautiful, and doubly so if you can catch the sun going down. The food at Le Cellier was okay, but nothing compared to the culinary artistry we regularly get at Artist Point.

Well, aren't we a bunch of AP-loving folks? :) AP is a superb restaurant with exemplary service. No, you can't get the cheddar soup, but the smoky portabello bisque is exquisite. Or if you like more adventure for your taste buds, try the venison spring rolls. You'll find the two signature dishes at AP to be the buffalo and cedar-plank salmon--you can't go wrong with either, though if you do the buffalo, make sure to order it no more done than medium (I recommend medium rare). Further, AP's wine list is topnotch. Though not extensive, it is populated with many outstanding selections from the Pacific Northwest which, of course, is what the whole WL experience is all about. The servers we've had have all been very knowledgeable about their wines, and have been more than willing to let us sample a few bottles before making up our minds. And desserts? If you have room, I might suggest the berry cobbler--my wife loves it. All in all, I don't think you can go wrong with AP. Bon apetit! :paw:

Another vote for Artist Point. The food is wonderful and service is superb - we'll be eating there in ten day - God willing!!!

That's a really tough choice. If you're going for ambiance and an experience, then AP wins. If you want excellent steak, LC wins. My 11 yo DD would choose LC over AP, so maybe if you have kids you could consider that.

Aren't I helpful?

LeCellier is great but Artist Point is much better. Ditto to those comments on the smokey mushroom soup. I'm not a soup eater and don't love mushrooms in the least but this soup is to die for.

Count DW and I amongst the Ap lovers. The Penn Cove mussels are out of this world, the restaurant is beautiful, and the cedar plank salmon is close to a religious experience. Our tradition is to dine there on our last night in the world, making for a wonderful experience before heading home. The down side is having to wait a week to eat there.

Nothing against LeCellier... it's a good restaurant, but not in the same league as AP. IMHO.
