Artist Point or Jiko?

Hallo!

So, my dilemma is: Artist Point or Jiko. We have been to both, but more than five years ago. Jiko was a wonderful experience. Artist Point (when we went) left much to be desired. Of course, it helped that we had an amazing server at Jiko and a less than mediocre one at Artist Point.

How does current opinion run?

Thanks so much for the input :lovestruc

These 2 match up pretty well with eachother. They are basically tied for my third favorite signature after Citricos and Flying Fish. What it would come down to for me between Jiko and AP is how you were planning on spending the rest of your night. For example, if you planned on heading to MK after dinner for EMH or something I would go with AP, if you didn't have plans I would go with Jiko and spend some time looking out over the savannahs or sitting by the fire pit with a drink.

Wow - a really difficult choice. But fortunately there is no wrong answer. :goodvibes

If its the service at AP that was your major turn off, I'd give that another try. We have found the service to be very good there ourselves. Unfortunately our favorite server has moved over to Yachtsman. But we found another at AP who is also very good. His name is Izzy, as in Dizzy Izzy. Very friendly and efficient.

Both have some very different items that you won't find elsewhere at Disney - and are hard to find off-Disney. I guess I'd pick AP if the flavors at Jiko were a bit too adventurous.

I like both. See if you can get Carlos or Susie as server at AP-not sure if either are still there. I give food at Jiko an advantage, but that is more about my personal tastes. If Jiko, ask for Nassar.

We went to AP in April and Sean was our waiter. The service was impeccable and the food delish!

Oh my, oh my! Thank you all so much for the information and input.

It seems that a pp was right -- there is no bad choice!

I'll put it up to a vote with my parents and DH -- and I'll be sure to post a review of whichever restaurant they choose :)

Don't you love it when a choice is win-win? ;)

I'd go to Jiko---

I think Jiko has a better wine list, but then I can have Pacfic Northwest wine anytime. I like the atmosphere better at Jiko but AP is starting to grow on me. My wife loves it there, except when I order veal.:confused3
