Artist Point dinner and Electrical Pageant

I would like to have a leisurely dinner with my boyfriend at Artist Point and then watch the Electrical Pageant. I have two questions concerning this plan:

1) What is your favorite location to watch the parade? Do you recommend the Wilderness Lodge or from Fort Wilderness? We're an adult couple and it would be nice to feel secluded.

2) How much time for dinner? 2 hours? Is it a New York City pace (turn the tables! turn the tables!), or a European pace (camp out all night)? Or something inbetween?

You did not say when you would be going. If it is a holiday it can get very busy. Otherwise I would plan on a leisurly dinner. But plan on transportation time if you decide to go to another resort to watch the water pageant. Plan 45-60 minutes before the start time. The pageant can be viewed from the beach at WL & FW. You can find a more secluded spot by just walking down the beach a little farther.

It starts at 9:30 at WL and 9:45 at FW. For seclusion I would go with FW, stop by the trading post, picking up a bottle of wine and toast to your vacation as you watch the show.

Thanks again, Grumpy92. I appreciate your recommendation for viewing the parade from Fort Wilderness. We'll be there late September, so I don't think it will be terribly busy. I was planning to walk from our cabin to the Wilderness Lodge and back.
