Article about Disney Prices

Actually, they have. For several years, the price of admission (just talking about that alone) has increased at a rate significantly higher than the general rate of inflation.

That said, you can pay their prices, or stay off-site and compromise and still go, or don't go.

Can you show stats to back that up?

Because gas sure goes up, everything has...food does..
And they cut down on sizes..like it's not a 64oz OJ, it's 58oz and a couple cents more.

Show me something that is at or below the same prices as before the recession?

Does Disney increase rates..sure..but a couple % a year. I think about the same with inflation.

It just amazes me people still expect something for nothing.
"I won't go if they don't give me " ___"
Haven't we learned giving something for nothing isn't good for business? Sure doesn't work for the government.
That's what we've been doing for years and it's not getting the ecomony going. Sure isn't helping businesses grow.
Like Disney.

Personally I think it's time for people to realize hey maybe you (and I) just can't afford to go yearly.
But that's not Disney's fault or any other tourist location but they still need to operate their business to be profitable.

Just wondering what the situation in Japan will do to WDW prices. Even though Disney has announced that they will look at the idea of reopening Tokyo Disney at the end of March, who will be visiting there? The idea of a country now facing incredible problems along with the danger of radiation won't make it a popular place to visit. If Disney feels the hurt there, where will they pass along the cost for their losses at Tokyo Disney?

Discounts have allowed me to stay deluxe and it was a pretty smart thing for Disney. Now that I've stayed at these deluxe resorts, I prefer staying at the deluxe resorts. BUT I would pay for a moderate if the deluxe was offered only at the rack rate.

Disney doesn't actually own that resort so I don't know how much it will affect them, if at all.

I didn't realize that it was not owned by Disney. Surely, they are getting a cut of the profits for the use of their names and characters?

The Oriental Land Company pays a licensing fee to Disney. I don't know if that means a flat fee or percentages of profits. If it's percentages then it's obviously going to affect them.
