Can anyone help with the ART route to and from the Hampton Inn? I have looked at the map that is on the ART website but it is really not very clear on the routes.

Where do we actually get the shuttle to go to Disneyland in the morning? How many stops does it make on the way? Also, does it do the same route in reverse on the way back? Where do we get off?

Sorry, that's a lot of questions. I just like to know all the details before I get there!

Thanks for your help!

Hello! If you're talking about the Hampton Inn in Garden Grove, we've stayed there twice. The bus picks up in front of the Embassay Suites, which is adjacent to the Hampton parking lot (it's a two-minute walk from the lobby). I believe it is supposed to make one more stop on the way to the park, but all the times I rode it, it only stopped once or twice because no one is usually there. When you come back, it stops in the same place in front of the Embassay Suites.

The ride doesn't take long, we just found the buses to be inconsistent and to not stick to their 'schedules.' We were not very happy with the ART service last time. The hotel itself is great, though.

I've also stayed at the Hampton Inn Garden Grove and used ART. The stop is in front of Embassy, and its not hard to find. The front desk people are very helpful and nice when you ask them where it is, and what times it comes by.

As fo stops, I remember stopping at least twice before we reached the park whenever we rode it, except once when we had to pick up another route and we stopped like 5 or 6 times and the little bus so full it was rediculous.

Thanks for the replies.

I am assuming it goes straight up and down Harbor to the parks. It would be nice if ART published the actual routes as it would be really helpful if we went to a store or restaurant from Disneyland and then were able to pick up the bus again when we are done.

Does anyone know if you can pick up a map of the actual routes when we are there?

I believe when I was at Hampton last year there was a map. We asked the front desk people for it, that is also where we bought our passes for ART.
I would suggest calling Hampton and asking them if they have a map. They might even be able to fax it you?(if you have access to a fax)

They have a crap-tastic 'map' on the ART website. It doesn't make much sense, to me. They show the routes that various bus lines take, but don't have definite times for when they will be at each stop. I'm not looking forward to navigating this bus system on my trip next week!

Great idea! I'm going to do that. I'll let everyone know if I have any luck.

I also might try calling the ART office and see if they can send me a better map.

Thanks!

I totally agree! Crap-tastic is the perfect description.

I still have our ART map that we got when we checked into the Hampton Inn & Suites. It is really not that much different than the one I printed out online except for the fact that it is larger and in colour. Not the greatest map but the routes are really not that complicated either. Hampton Inn is on Route K and goes down S. Harbor Blvd. It is a fairly short route compared with some of the others. Service supposed to run approx every 20 mins and it was good when we were there in Oct, but then it was low season. Sometimes on the return trip we would take it past Hampton Inn if we needed to pick up a few things at Target and just walk back to the hotel which wasn't too far.
