Art of Animation Information

Hey guys, I am currently booked to go in late August to the Art of Animation resort. I usually go with my family to either Coronado or Port Orleans Riverside late October. My girlfriend is a teacher so she is unable to go when my family usually does. My question is how is the Art of Animation Resort? It makes me nervous seeing some of the room pictures. I originally looked at the values (Music,Sports,Movies) and got a little frightened that it may be too kidish. The price to stay at Art during late August is more than what it costs in late October. The discount that they have going this week gives discounts to everything but Art. Is it worth paying the extra 2700 versus the 2200 to stay at Art?

We stayed at AoA last time in a Nemo suite. Yes, it is super-themed and very kid-ish. Not high on the romance factor. However, I have heard it is nicer than some of the older values simply because it is newer. It has a fabulous pool and food court. If you are just going for a room I would take the savings and stay at a regular value. If you are looking for something more romantic considering the nature of this trip, you might want to spring for a moderate - POR is pretty romantic, they have carriage rides too!

I'm not sure AoA is the best place for a marriage proposal (congrats!), unless she really loves Lion King, Little Mermaid, Nemo, or Cars. If she is a big fan of one of those, then you are set.

Often discounted moderates are not much more than non discounted AoA. Definitely think POR or POFQ would be more romantic.

If I had to choose a value for romance, I'd choose Pop, but check into possible refurb going on there.

All that being said, I think anywhere on Disney property can make for a special moment. Hope your vacation and future plans go well.

No definitely not worth it. If you can swing it, consider upgrading to a mod. POR and POFQ are lovely and definitely more romantic. If that's not in the budget, I would look at POP.
