We have decided we're doing a Girls' only trip in November of this year, and there will be 3 or 4 of us -- has anyone stayed at AoA as an adult only party? Curious as to what it's like. We're thinking the extra room (and extra bathroom!) would be nice.

Visited often and toured the suites. I would stay there as all adults. The transportation is good and the food court is very good (we go there just to eat).

I would probably pick the Cars section, those suites are more low key in design.

But I would also price it against two rooms at a moderate, CSR is a great adult resort. That gives you two baths and if 4, everyone gets their own bed.

I love CSR, but unless you get a two room suite, there's only one bath, correct?

Yes, I had suggested two rooms.

Depending on time of year AoA rates can have wide range so just compare which works out better. At AoA if 4 of you go, two will have to share a bed.

I just took an adults-only trip at the end of May and we stayed in a Lion King suite at AoA. There were four of us (three women, one man) and the suite was the perfect size...no one ever got in anyone else's way. We really loved the extra shower at the end of the long park days. I slept on the sofa bed and it was comfortable and even if we left both the sofa bed out and the table bed down, there was still plenty of room for all four of us to move around. If there are four of you and no one wants to share a bed, there is room for an air mattress.

Edited to add: the main pool was very crowded when we were there, but we walked over to the Cars pool and were able to find a table with an umbrella right away in the middle of a Sunday afternoon, and the Cars pool itself wasn't crowded at all.

I think the suggestion was to book two separate rooms at CSR.

I just wanted to make sure I understood correctly -- it would much cheaper for us to book one suite at AoA than two rooms at CSR, by over $100 a night for the dates we're looking at.

Unless you are interested in the little mini studio kitchen, I would think 2 rooms at any of the other values might work better. AoA is very overpriced and when it comes down to it, it is just a value resort with suites. You might be a little less crowded in two rooms, of course, you won't get the whole everyone stay up late and gossip if you are in two rooms. Just depends on how close you all are and what is your $ threshold.

If it's 3 of us - I think the AoA suite is perfect for you. With two bathrooms - and three bed options - and being in the same room - I think is great for a girls-trip. I would also recommend the Cars section. Nemo can put you "too close" to the pool and Lion King (while adorable rooms) - is a LONG ways from a quiet pool. Having the coffee maker, larger mini frig, sink in the kitchenette area, and microwave - plus to two rooms and two baths - makes it a great place for hanging out and cheap breakfasts or late night drinking/snacks. AoA suites, in my opinion, are nicer than mods.

If it's 4 of you - two will have to share a bed - probably the queen bed in the bedroom. If that's okay with you all - it's a great choice.
