Art Dragon- DL Band Conductor

I LOVE Art, leader of the DL band. Did he RETIRE?? I just saw something on the CM Hub about him, having a presentation to discuss his career at DL.

I am bummed! He was truly part of the charm, leading the band and I loved his introductions to the little events. Like the band in front of the castle, where Mickey and friends would join in. And in the town square, when Mickey and Minnie would dance.

I wish I could be at his presentation, but it is on the 22nd and I am in NJ.

He hasn't retired as far as I know. I haven't seen the band play in a few weeks though, so I can't say for sure. I'll keep an eye out for him this weekend.

On the Disney CM Hub, there was a reference to it. "Art Dragon, former Disneyland Band conductor", is giving a presentation discussing his Disney career next week……. I wish I could go, but I live in NJ.

Art was officially retired at the end of 2013. Kurt has taken over as the band conductor, but I don't know who will be taking Art's place as leader of the Straw Hatters (Kurt leads the Pearly Band in the afternoon).
