Was just out checking out our landscaping to see what all i need to update and or repair this yeat so i can start trying to get things together, and decide what i'm goingto do with the 16x8 deck i have left over, the huge pile of large rock and old brick i've acquired the last year, and trying to see which plants we might need to move or replace for this year, while walking around the pool and deck in the back yard, inside the area closed off by 6 ft wooden fencing:) i discovered that we havea drainage problem... theres about 5 inches of water under hte deck dw built while i was stuck in house after the wreck last year, now i have to remove one flower bed, install about 40 ft of drainage piping and rock and then re landscape and level the back yard. realy not looking forward to that... was hoping to be able to get that area turned into a landscaped vegie area since the deck is right off the side of our kitchen and now it looks like its not going to be able to be finished and productive by this spring. cant open ditchthe water away, under cutting the fgence would let doggie have away out of yard and thats not a good thing. and right now,, that area is undere about 4 inches of water, apparently when they leveled out the yard after installing the pool(26 ft above ground round, dug in about 6 inches below grade.) and building the deck, the grade outside the peremiter of the deck is a few inches higher than under neath it. i really am not looking forward to tearing oout the yard and hauling pipe and rock all the way around house to back gate to get uit dry:(:(

I sympathize with you, that sounds like a mighty big job. Delaying the veggie garden is bad news too! I truly hope that it's not as bad as it seems.

UGH, Froggy, that sounds like a mighty big job! :( I hope you can round up a few people to give you a hand!

By the way, I saw your newest pic in the 'Show Your Face' thread - you really are progressing nicely! :) :) :)

thanks, the drs are letting it rst for a yaer so this is it at least till next fall, am hoping i can get a couple of these kids around here that love to play in the pool so much to help out by doingthe trenching under the deck. aftre thatsd done i'll take the tiller and breakl up the area where the pipe needs to go, and maybe it wont be too bad, best friends are always willing to help if it means the y get to play in the pool and i can always relocate this years veggies, was just goingto use them as landscape plants inside the fence and was hoping i can get theback yard down to an area we can control th egras in with a weed eater:)

Froggy, did the pool company mess things up when they did their grading?

I hope you get some help with this, it sounds like a huge undertaking!

:)

wasnt the pool company,, was a bunch of kids we had knock dowen the pile the pool company left, the kids leveed it off but, they piled it up around te edge odf the deck which was over a low spot, i thought they had filled in the hole but they hadnt

Is there anyway you can get the kids back Froggy, to correct their error? :) Many hands make light work. :)
