Arriving in 2007, staying until 2008

So, we are arriving on December 30 and staying through January 5. We are on the premium plan so all our dining is included. Has anyone done this and how will it work with our meals? Will we use the 2007 plan for 2 days and then go to the 2008 plan (have apps/tips for 2 days then none)? If we have a reservation at a restaurant that is on the 2007 plan but not 2008 yet (Teppen Edo) will they honor it?

Any insight would be great!

From what I've heard, if you check in during 07, then 07 rules carry on throughout your stay, thus the tip is included. Be sure to double check though, so you don't leave a less than happy server behind.

2007 rules (all of them) apply to your plan for the duration of your hotel stay

my friend is an avid Disney go-er...she calls like 100 times to the 800 number, and i think they know her by name. Shes going and doing the same as you...2007/2008 trip, and they told her that she will have to take the 2008 dining plan in 2008--- even though she booked in advance...
I would call and check on it. I hear that you will have to follow the plan in effect......

A friend who is a server was telling me about how disney updated their computer system. When the server at a TS restaurant rings in a dinner, they have the choice of hitting a button that says the guest checked in during 2007, or if they checked in during 2008. The reason being, thats whats important, when they checked in.

Your plan will go by the 2007 rules as your check in date is in 2007. Yes, the computers have been updated so we must hit either the 2007 or 2008 key when we run the card through the system.
