I'm having soooo much fun planning for our May trip to the fort. :goodvibes My newest question of the day relates to getting all the way from MCO to our cabin. I plan to hire a towncar service that I assume will get me from the airport to the main check-in place at the fort. (Don't know the name - can you tell this is the first time I've stayed at the fort, rather than just staying with family who had already registered?) Anyway, once we check in and get our keys to the cabin, what happens next? Do we have to take an internal bus to get to the cabin? What about our bags? And, if they just drop us off at the bus stop but our cabin is a ways in to the loop, do we just drag the bags all the way there? I'm guessing (hoping!) that there is a better way of getting to the cabin, but I've never heard. It would be pretty hard to manage all our bags any significant distance on foot, since DH won't be with us this time.

Anyone know about how this works? Thanks so much!

You will check in at the Outpost. Disney, thinking of everything, has convenient transportation available. Leave the outpost and head past the bus stop to the kennel. There, you will be assigned equine transportation to get you to your destination. After you arrive at the cabin, just give the horse a swat on the rear and he will head home. Gatordad will be around later with his golf cart and whats left of your luggage.

Sorry about that. I have seen carts going around with luggage and have also seen CM's ferrying guests around to the cabins with golf carts.

A Disney CM will also drive you to your site in a passenger van. You might have to ride with other guests, but, who cares? You're at Disney with LOTS of people whom you will never see again in your life! Act the part!!!

When you check in ask for a ride to your cabin. They will take you in a van right to the cabin. The night before you leave ask at check in for a pick up about 45 minuets before your Magic Express pick up and they will pick up you and your luggage.and take you to the ME bus stop. Watch out for those guests arriving on a horse.:rolleyes1

Thanks, guys! I guess I'll leave my saddle at home after all. ;)
