If I have a PS for dinner at 6:00, and I arrive early...say 5:15-5:30 will I be seated at the next available table? Or will I wait until 6 for the next available table at that time?
Thanks

When you arrive, let them know that you have PS for 6, but would like to eat now, if available. They will get you in as soon as possible. Pretty much like walk ups, I guess. But they won't tell you that you have to wait until 6.

We were way early for most of our ps's last week. We told them we were early and would wait if need be. They always asked if we were prepared to be seated at that moment. Usually we were seated with-in 5 minutes and well into our meal when our original ps time rolled around!

When we've shown up early for a PS a few times (by 45 minutes or so), we've been worked into the current PS schedule, and have only waited around 5 minutes. On the other hand, when I think about it, we've moved from a later, more popular time to an earlier, less popular time so they may have been happy to fill the tables up earlier. I suppose if you had a PS for 8:45 and showed up at 6:30 p.m. instead, there might be more of an issue.

I think it depends on how busy they are. When we went in May we had PSs for Prime Time Cafe at 6pm. We were getting hungry and decided to stop in at 5:15 instead. I told the CM that we had PSs for 6pm but could we come in now or first available. I was told that they were not even taking anymore walk ups or new PSs as the place was packed. She said I had to come back at 5:55. So I think if they are busy you may be out of luck.

i've had good luck at getting seated early too, but there are always exceptions, depending on how busy they are. at CG i had a ps for 7:30 and arrived at 7:00. i did not get seated until 8:10! it was worth waiting for though, after being told they were not taking any more window requests, when i was finally seated i was by the window with a perfect view of the fireworks:D

It's worth checking, but don't expect it because it's not always possible.
Also, California Grill and Rose and Crown have made it clear that they do not accept any special table requests. The CMs who make PSes are not allowed to promise particular tables (that's one of the 2 main differences between a PS and a reservation: No immediate seating, No particular tables will be saved.)

Arriving early can have positive results, though.
