Arriving Early in a.m. - still use Magical Express?

We are arriving at 9:30 a.m. and have signed up for Magical Express. I was just reading the brochure and it says your luggage may arrive up to three hours after check in. Does the luggage ususally not arrive until at least 4:00 p.m. (official check in time) or does it usually come in not too long after your arrival? I'm just now thinking, in case we are lucky and can check in early, I would hate to have to wait around all day for the rest of our luggage.

We ususally get ours within a couple of hours after checking in, not after 4:00 as more often then not - my room is ready close to my arrival time. Last week when we stayed at Kidani my room was ready when we arrived at noon and we had our luggage by 2:00. Just be sure you take the necessities in your carryon including medications just in case it takes longer.

The 3 hours seems about right for us. We bring it with us if we know we are going to need it. We just don't tag it, pick it up at baggage claim, then proceed to ME. ( A bit of a pain...but if you want access to it...) If you don't need it for a while, let them bring it for you.

A few years ago we took a red-eye into MCO and arrived around 5:30AM, we checked into ME expecting to have to wait until there were more passengers and were very surprised to take right off to our resort with only the three of us on the bus. We checked in at SSR, went to breakfast at Beach Club and when we returned our luggage was already in our room.

You could pack a change of clothes or swimsuit in your carry-on just in case the rest of your luggage takes too long to arrive.

This is what we did. You don't need to sit around waiting for your luggage. Just make sure that whatever you need for day one is in your carry on (swimsuit etc). Check in, freshen up, go do whatever you want to do. They will bring the bags to your room when they arrive, no need for you to be there.

They will check when your bags arrive if your room is ready the will deliver them.

When we were at SSR our room was not ready. When I recieved the text message with thr room number 2 hours later we headed to the room and the bags were there already.

If we have an early am flight we usually assume the room won't be ready until the afternoon & plan to pack anything we may need in our carry-ons. We don't wait around for anything. We leave our carry-ons with Bell Services and head out to the parks. They will leave you a message on your cell when your room is ready and then they just deliver your DME bags to your room for you while you are out. At some point in the afternoon we take a break & go back to the resort to get settled & stop by Bell Services to request our Owners Locker, Garden Grocer delivery & carry-ons be sent to the unit.
