I'm arriving the night before we check into Coronado springs so I need recommendation for a hotel and ideas to get from airport to hotel then to coronado springs. I don't want to spend alot of money. Thanks for the help.

First, Welcome to the DIS!!! What type of budget do you have in mind for the arrival night hotel?

Bumping this up... I am in the same boat so to speak. We are flying in a day early none of the flights on our first day got into Orlando early enough to suit us. We need to find a clean reasonably priced room somewhere between the airport and POR. Any ideas?

Me too. I've been contemplating the very same thing, but we are driving. I'm wondering if I would be ok to just drive around and find something for the night or must I try and reserve something for that one night.

If your plane is arriving the day before you could book any hotel near the airport that offeres shuttle service, then get back to the airport the next day and take Magical Express which you reserved at least 10 days in advance. I would reserve the hotel too, if it is a busy time when you arrive you could take forever at the kiosk with the 3x5 illuminated squares and push buttons and phone handsets in the baggage claim area trying to find a hotel room.

Or you could rent a car and go all the way to Disney and book at Pop Century for the first night. Again a reservation would be better. One time I got to Orlando having forgotten to make a reservation for the first night and went all up and down 192 trying to find a decent priced room near Disney. I would have killed to stay at the infamous Nikki Bird or its successor Home Sweet Home about which another thread full of rants exists.

Go to both the Orlando Visitor's and Kissimmee Visitor's we sites and request their packages. Orlando sends you a "Magic Card" which has a bunch of discounts. I used the discount for the Fairfield at Marriott Village, near I-4 and 535. It was about $55/night for a very nice room, with free WiFi and a large breakfast buffet (mostly cold items and make your own waffles). Hard to beat that price, location, and amenities.
