It seems like I'll be arriving at December 3rd midnight or at 1am. How will the resort booking be handled?

Will it be considered the night of the 2nd? or I can not check in until 3pm of the 3rd?

Cheers and TIA

You'll have to pay for the night of the 2nd. My suggestion would be to find a cheap hotel that has an airport shuttle. Ride the shuttle from the airport, sleep for what's left of the night and then have a towncar service take you from your airport hotel to your WDW hotel. You can check in there fairly early (I've heard reports of people checking in before 7 am) but your room probably won't be ready until after 3. Bell services will hold your bags. You can get your park passes and hit the parks and return when your room is ready. This way you'll save some money and still get your rest.

It is considered the 2nd for your room reservation. If you have a great rate onsite you just check in as usual. If you don't then I agree find a cheap place off site, sleep, and you can wake up early and check into your WDW resort. You can always check in, get your room key, head off to the parks. If the room isn't ready you can call and check on it from the parks. No need to visit the front desk again.

on-site the room rate at the time is only about US$80-ish, so it's no big deal. However, the service to take the luggages to the room and such will still be available, right?

I have a related question: if you check into your disney hotel before the room is ready -- and you get them to hold your luggage for you while you take off to the parks for the day---Will they carry your luggage up to your room when it becomes ready--or will you have to wait until you return from the parks that evening, and then carry your own luggage to your room?????

They will take it up to your room while you're at the parks.

No most of them will not take it to your room while you are at the parks, the ones without bell service may but the moderates and deluxe will hold it till you call bell service and will then bring it to your room while you are there.

Since the topic is ASMu, I'm only assuming the question is directed towards Disney resorts at ASMu's price level / class.

Thanks FATCOW & MCCALL (Hmmm.. that sounds like a twisted catalog company) for answering my question. You both helped me. We are staying at the AKL--so I guess the answer is: 1) Yes they will take our luggage to our room but 2)only after we call and ask them to--or after we arrive.

Do I have it straight?????

Yes they will take your luggage to your room (and back) from their luggage holding room.

What I did last month was:

I arrived at 11pm, dropped the luggage in the holding room after I checked my name into their system (basically saying, "Hi, I'm Dave and I'm here ready to check in".

Once my room was ready, they took my luggages into my room so by the time I got back from the park (it was around 11pm), the luggages were all there.

On the day of check-out, I called the front-desk in the morning and told them how many luggages I have and where I locate them and ask them to kindly take them to the luggage holding room.

When I was ready to actually leave the premises, I just needed to go to the holding area and ask them to grab my luggages from their holding room.

I know me description is a mouthful, but it's pretty simple procedure, really. :)

We arrived at 1:30 am at the music. There was one person at the front desk and no baggage help. We were able to get a cart, though, and lug our bags by ourselves.

I recommend checking in anyway, that way you can start your morning activities right away without waiting to check-in, etc.
