THis October our flight arrives at 4:45 pm. By the time we get our bags and our car rental I'm guessing it will be 5:45 to 6 pm.

How will traffic be during this time, driving from MCO to Boardwalk Villas? We'd like to stop at a Publix on the way as well. Would taking the 417 rather than the 528/I4 have less traffic during that time?

I would recommend taking the 417. Very little traffic compared to the Beach Line and I4.

are you flying Southwest via Buffalo? That's what time we are getting in, too!

417 will have a lot less traffic! If you take exit 6 there is a Publix on International Dr. You would need to turn right on Int'l Dr. and it's not to far down on the left. Very close to outlet mall. You could also go to publix website and do location search that way.

Another close grocery stop would be to take 417 to Orange Blossom Trail exit which is very close to Disney exit I think its one exit from Disney. Get off turn left and go about 1/4 mile and there is a Super Target on the right. Not to mention a few places to stop and eat that are easy to get in and out of at that time of day.

Here is the google map for you

International Dr. can be very busy!

Definitely use 417. Be sure to have quarters ready to exit for that Super Target stop because that's an unmanned station. Used to be 50 cents if it hasn't gone up in price.
