Do most just rope drop to get on the rides? I do see that the first show is 11:00.Lots of things do not open until 10 or later.
I don't think sea world is a must rope drop park.

We planned on getting quick queue. Oh no I hate getting stuck on a ride. Was at SW on a Saturday earlier this month. Got there for opening. All major rides were open and were walk on the first hour. Was great. Don't know why people say rides aren't open? We did Kraken, Manta, the penguin ride (Artic?), and Mako within the first hour. Did Infinity Falls with Quick Queue (wasn't needed til then) but got stuck on the ride.

I seen they have electric ocean at 5:30? It says fireworks, it's not even dark at 5:30? I know nothing about Sea World lol. We're going on Saturday, June 29th and wondered the same thing. We're actually staying at the HGVC Seaworld so we're planning on walking over which I think will probably take about 10 minutes? We'll have the quick queue (one time per ride), but I don't know how necessary it is to get there really early. I know we'll want to stay until closing for the Electric Ocean stuff, but that sounds like such a long day. Not sure if we should go later in the day -- or go early, back to the resort for a while, and then go back again later. Anyone have any advice? I'm thinking we could do the rides twice by not waiting long in standby in the a.m. and then using our quick queue later.

Thank you for the information! Is it hard getting out of the park with everyone leaving at the same time?Electric Ocean is just the name of the night time entertainment. 5:30pm is when the dance parties start and the performers come out and interact with people.
The first show kicking off Electric Ocean is Touch The Sky, which is at the Dolphin Stadium. Can’t remember if that was at 5:30pm or 5:45pm and then there’s Sea Lions Tonight! which is pretty funny but we haven’t seen it for a while so don’t know what time it starts.
Then there Shamu’s Celebration (Light Up The Night!), which I highly recommend and is a MUST in my opinion. That’s normally at 8:15pm. And lastly Electric Ocean finishes with Ignite (that’s the fireworks show) and that’s normally at 9:00pm.
You may have to have pick and choose which shows to go to as it’s a rush because of the way they’re timed to get to all of them. Electric Ocean is definitely my favourite night time entertainment of all of the parks. The whole vibe of park changes and there’s so much to do and they have great food stands that are open for it too.

Do they have anything open when it rains?I think your plan of getting there earlier and riding a few rides in the morning and saving your Quick Queue for when it gets busier is a good one because it means you can ride a few things a couple of times if you really like them. Plus it rains A LOT that time of year and when it rains pretty much everything shuts down at Sea World because everything’s outside so you’ve got a better chance of doing all of the stuff you want to in the morning and then go for a break and come back fresh to do all of the Electric Ocean stuff. Sea World can get pretty busy at the weekends because a lot locals and AP holders come those days.

Ok thank you! They have some indoor shows and a couple of Aquariums (by Manta and Journey To Atlantis) and Shark Encounter will be open and the inside animal viewing areas.
Ride wise Wild Arctic, Turtle Trek and the penguin ride will be open as they’re all inside but they’ll be busy because everyone heads to them to get out of the rain.
It's fine I don't mind.@leiaorgana, you are a wealth of knowledge.
I'm so clueless about Seaworld -- I haven't been since I was a kid and remember little to nothing.
We're not doing Disney or Universal this trip -- we're spending 4 days in the Tampa area to visit family/beach (not Busch Gardens), and then 4 days in Orlando. Even though we're only going to SW for one day, we're staying at HGVC Seaworld because it seemed like a pretty nice resort to relax at and I figured the quick queue would come in handy for our SW day.
I used to be such a planner, but I've gotten lazy over the past 2-3 years. I really feel like I need to have some kind of plan for SW, though, but every time I try to study the map (for rides) or showtimes for that day, I get overwhelmed. We probably don't need to see two dolphin shows, so do we see Dolphin Days or Touch the Sky? One Ocean or Shamu's Celebration: Light up the Night (or do I need to do both)? Sea Lion High: the New Class or Sea Lions Tonite? Pets Ahoy looks pretty cute, too, but I don't want to do too many shows or my boys (teen and pre-teen) may get cranky about it.
We've also got all-day dining, so that's something else to figure out.
I wish someone could just tell me what to do and the order in which to do it, lol.
Sorry, @maryj11, didn't mean to hijack your thread!
