Arriving around bedtime -- what will ME do with checked bags?

Hi! We're getting into Orlando around 6:30 tomorrow, and are planning on using ME (staying at ASM), but with our little one we'll be in bed by 9 or 10... if we're asleep before our checked bags get to our room, will they just knock on the door? Or should we just grab them and bring them on the bus ourselves so we don't have to worry about it? We'll only probably have 1 checked bag...

They will knock and bring it on in. However you can as stated bring it on the bus with you or request from Bellservices that it be held until the AM and go pick it up or have them deliver it in the AM.

Most of us here, who travel frequently, have learned to carry whatever you will need, for your first few hours, in your carryon. If arriving at night, and you'll want to get to bed, then put your pj's in your carryon, as well as anything else you will need to get you through until the morning. Your bags could get to your room by the time you go to bed, however they may not. If you don't want to be awakened by a knock on the door, just tell the front desk to hold your bags until morning, then tell bell services the same thing, and put the 'do not disturb' sign on your door.
If you feel you really don't want to hassle with that, then do not put the yellow tags on your checked luggage. You can then grab the bags at baggage claim and have them put under the bus you are traveling on.

We were due to get in about your time, but plane was LATE. So we didn't get to the POLY until about 11:00 (boy, were we tired). We didn't get our luggage until the next morning, so do carry necessaries with you, just in case! Next year we're paying extra for a custom flight, and can leave early a.m. from where we live and SHOULD get into WDW before lunch. Much better.
