Arriving after 10:00pm

If we do not land at MCO until 10:20 pm, can we still use the Magical Express? Since there is no luggage service after 10 , do we have to retrieve our own luggage and take it to the bus ourselves , if there is a bus at that hour?

Has any one else had a late arrival that you could share how it went for you?

There will be a bus, but you have to get your luggage. From their FAQ:

For airport arrivals after 10:00 p.m., Guests must collect their luggage at Baggage Claim and transport it with them on the motor coach.

Last December, DH was supposed to arrive at 8 PM, but in the end, he arrived after 11 and had to get his luggage, then he got ME and arrived at VWL around 1AM. It worked, but it was a long day.

We were due to arrive at 10:20, didn't get in until midnight. Picked up our luggage, got on the bus, but we were the last stop of six resorts...took an hour or more to get to the VWL...then had to wait while a CM decided to come and man the desk to get our keys and check in...didn't get settled in until 2am...was up at 6:30 to eat and get ready to head out to Universal and HP land....long, Long two days.

We also landed that late just this last March. It was three hours from time of landing until check in. YIKES!! It took a long time to leave the airport with ME and we were the very last resort of many to be dropped off.

We are arriving at 10:30 pm for our Sept trip and decided to rent a car for the day. My family will get the luggage and I'll use emerald eisle and get the car. This also gives us a car for the next day to get groceries. We are only paying $37 for the car and the ability to get groceries

Busses run all night long. I had a flight from Minneapolis get delayed and I didn't land until 2:00 am. They put me on a bus, waited about 15 minutes, then took me- just me- to SSR. I felt bad that the driver had to haul one person from the airport to their resort, but it made for some interesting conversation and a very pleasant trip.

Were you on a 7pm flight that should have arrived just after 11pm? We notoriously suffer taking that flight. Last trip for us that flight arrived at around 4:00am for us.

We then ended up standing at the Hertz desk until after 5:00am, got to the hotel by 6:00am and finally crawled into bed at 6:00am...

But, as another MSP'er, that 7:00pm flight is brutally untimely.

ME usually takes a bit of time to get you to a resort and get checked in (1.5-2 hrs) from the time your flight lands. Understanding that arriving very late or extremely early, those times will increase dramatically. They will not be fully staffed and have tons of busses running.....

We just did this at the end of June... flight delayed until after 11:30 got luggage , got on bus that was waiting , waited like 10-15 min for another family that went to OKW then to SSR with everything we were in room at 1:30. At front desk when we checked in they said they were waiting on 2 other groups with flight delays so if they have your info they know where you are?

Yep- we were supposed to land at 11:10 pm. I hate arriving so late, but the later flights make it possible to get some work done before we leave. But we've yet to land on time and have gotten to our room well after 2:00 am.
