Arrived today at 3:20pm local time to a beautiful SUNY afternoon

Flew airbus with virgin Atlantic. Checked in online day before so had seats together. Great flight. Plane very new, comfortable and inflight on demand entertainment system was out of this
world to be frank.

Food though was awful. But service was great, flight seemed to go quick, and the cabin crew kept our glasses flowing with whatever we fancied throughout flight.

I had pre checked in for our car hire, so I was allowed to go straight to garage and choose any car and drive away. Quick and easy. Immigration was quick too. Top tip. After collecting your bags, take theme with you on the monorail else you have to wait to collect. We were advised to do this beforehand and save heaps of time.

Stopped off at publix on way to hotel. Water, bread, milk, etc... And then checked in quickly. Our room request was met, and within 20 mins of getting into room we were around the pool having a drink or two . Outdoor movie was playing by pool tonight , and amongst the twinkling lights in the palms, our kids jumping through the waterfalls, and a cocktail or two we are all set for a fortnight of orlando magic, and now about to hit the sack 10:20pm local time here as we have planned rope drop at magic kingdom tomorrow for our first full day in Orlando.

Was going to say that I hope you have a fab time, but it sounds like you are already :) . Where are you staying? I assume somewhere on Disney.

I will probably have some questions during your holiday if you are not too busy having loads of fun to get on the forum. Until then hope today at Magic Kingdom goes well and that the crowds aren't too bad for you. :thumbsup2

That's my perfect start to a wdw holiday. I hope the next two weeks are just as magical:cloud9:

Who did you book your car hire with? We've registered for Alamo's SaveTime, so I hope we'll have an equally easy passage. We have the MCO thing off pat, so we're usually through pretty quickly, but being able to bypass the car hire desk would be the icing on the cake.

Your first night sounds like the perfect scenario. Hope ours pans out equally well IN LESS THAN TWO WEEKS' TIME!

so glad your trip is starting on such a positive note :) I hope the rest of your trip only gets better! :)

Thanks to all posters above. First day round up below, with notes

1 - arrived nice and early for ropedrop at MK. We first had to pick up tickets fro the TTC, and we then caught monorail over. It was beautiful sunny day, and view of lakes and Grand Floridian from monorail ist stunning.

At the parks we got a great spot to watch the welcome show and even had time to get a coffee from the little stand.

At end everyone piled through the tunnels, and as we came out we spoted the horsedrawn carriage had enough space for us, so we hopped on and had a sylish ride down main sreet. We hoped off at the castle and went through.

2 - while kids tried pullng sword out of stone I ran and grabbed a fastpass for PAN. We then all rode POOH (No wait), and went through to Storybook Circus*. Did DUMBO (No wait) and BARNSTORMER (No wait). Kids ran throuhg the splashzone, and we got on the WDW RAILROAD (waiting couple of mins for it too arrive) and rode round to frontierland.

*On way to Dumbo I asked a CM outside of FLE if they would be letting guests in. He said no, CM only. Dun no if they opened it later? But when we did leave the park, we saw a lot of CMs waiting to ebetert the turnstiles

3 - We grabbed fastpasses for Thunder Mountain, and rode SPLASH (No Wait). When we got off, Our Fastpasses for THUNDER hadn't kicked in so we rode standby (5 mnute wait). We then walked over to PAN and did that using our fastpasses (no wait) and then did small world (5 minute wait - and the first reall waiti of any kind do far).

We then watched the Movie Shake It Party. After this I wanted to pick up my photpass plus from Town SQ Theatre and kids wanted to try out Sorcerers of MK, so we headed up main Street.

Kids completed there 1st sorcerer mission in about 20 mins. I found Sorcerers to be boring and a time killer, but kids enjoyed it.

we wentback into Adventure Land. We then did Pirates of C, and when Came Out the pirate Tutorial was on, so we watched this. To finsih gig we did philarmagic.

I went to claim our photo pas Plus

Left park abut 1:30pm. Spent a few hours at the resort pool. Tonight went to DTD and T-REX

DTD was PACKED. Striggled to find a car park space. T-REX meal was okay, and service and atmosphere was freat, but food was just okay.

We also did some fastpass shots earlier today at various locations.

got back at 10:30pm

Any Q's let me have them????

Tommorow we have ANIMAL KINGDOM starting with a TUSKER HOUE BREAKFAST

Your getting me so excited!! I will be there tomorrow. We are staying at SSR,
and are going to the MNSCHP on Halloween.

How is the internet at your hotel?
